have a question.

I have a police certificate from a third country that was issued in November 2013 (i requested it as soon as i got my I-130 approved, but I did not expect it would take sooo long to get NVC)/

there is no expiration date on it, so i assume it is valid for one year since the date of issue.

I have actually requested a new one several weeks ago but it can take another 4 weeks to get it. So, here is a question. Should I send my IV package with soon expiring Police certificate and then mail the renewed one. Or its better to wait a little and send the complete package?

They are working on the 18th of July

Next is 21st and 22nd; our scanned dates (19th and 20th are weekend)

Hahaaa happy they make you smile :D OMG am I and I'm checking for N/A ever time I remember which is often. If it was a job I would be very busy doing nothing hahahahaaa I want it so bad I can taste it and was hoping this morning it was our turn. See my crystal ball never lies they are working a little faster and God willing will pick up for the rest of the poor souls waiting for this nightmare to end. :D Come on NVC! movie-director-smiley-emoticon.gif No, no checklist I VOODOOED them :D

yes yes .. they finished 17th, 18th and working on 21st of July in three days since beginning of this week.. i expect 22nd to be within this week too .. 23rd has a high probability too .. if not .. then early next week .. my advice just stay away for couple of days .. then get back Friday night .. the closer you get the more impatient you are .. best of luck!

Does the IV Fee email come simultaneously with the fee being unlocked?? Just wondering if there is actually any use at all to my checking the CEAC website to see if the fee is unlocked.

My friends scan date for AOS was July 21st and it was reviewed and accepted today. Seems like they're moving along!

@nicholeMariev, CONGRATS!! So happy for you. Also looks like Yvette is the bearer of good news today because...

My AOS packet was approved today!!! I had to ask twice because all she said was, "well your first packet, AOS, looks good" So I clarified, " So my affidavit of support was accepted?" She replied, "Yep, it looks good."Scan date July 17th. I know it is no CC, but I am so happy! For the benefit of others I filed I-864EZ and I wrote NA all over that thing, not a blank space was to be found. I included my last three years tax transcripts, a letter from my employer, and 6 months of pay stubs.

Good luck to all, it's been a good week on VJ so far. With my IV scan date of 7/22... maybe I'll even see a CC this week? Who knows, a girl can dream, right?

Thank you for sharing this! I was planning to do the same thing but was on the fence. Now I'm ready to go once I get a case number.

If there's no expiration date, you should be fine. Especially since most police certificates are good for one year. Just bring the updated one to the interview, in case they want an updated one.

Question how do you know that they are working on 18th of july.... my iv packet was scanned on july 23... they also sent me a check list for my aos and they just scanned on august 22 are they really taking 60 days to approved the check list?

How many days does it take for NVC to review a checklist document? :huh2:
