Can anyone else confirm this because I submitted DS-260 on August 6 and my AOS and IV packages scan date is August 8. The NVC rep told me to wait 60 days from August 8. Maybe they review DS260 with AOS and IV packages whether it is submitted at a later date or an earlier date. Also, the 60-day emails mention the last document scan date and ask to wait 60 days from that date.

Just for clarification, that quote applies to people who submitted their IV packet before their fee and DS-260.

As you know the DS-260 is an electronic form and scan date does not apply to it. Scan date applies only for the documents that we mail to NVC like your AOS and IV package. So the 60 day wait starts from the last scan date of your AOS and/or IV package.

I think the whole theory about making copies is for you to have the original back at the time of the interview. And I think the police certificate is for their own records and the original won't be returned to you. I stand to be corrected by the experts and by those that have gone thru the interview stage.

**sending in copies might delay the date of your CC** You can still call NVC for peace of mind sake.

My husband sent in a photocopy + original of his police certificate. He did receive his original back at interview. This was at London Embassy, so I can only speak for that one :-)

I submitted AOS and IV documents together in one envelope. I called NVC and they said they received one mail from me on 8thof September. Does that mean they have scanned both AOS and IV ??or just the AOS?

Yes it is the same for both packets you sent since they were in the same envelope.

Wow Skiwallker just checking out your amazing timeline (since NVC anyway!) I hope we get our IV bill soon. It's only been 27 days I know but I'm so keen to get it paid so I can fill out the DS-260 because I now have all the info I need and I just want to do it and send that package and wait for checklists or CC!

Edit: Our parents in law got the package on Friday and now they just have to sign then send it on to NVC Monday

How soon after NVC receive the package is it reasonable to expect the package to be scanned?

It's only been 27 days I know but I'm so keen to get it paid so I can fill out the DS-260 because I now have all the info I need and I just want to do it and send that package and wait for checklists or CC!

It should be scanned the next day after they received it. It was that way for both my AOS and IV packages. So if you overnight it, you should expect the package to be scanned the day after next.

Hi everyone,

Ive just spoken to NVC and my DS-261 form has been reviewed and accepted as of Sept 12th. NVC rep. told my IV fees will be invoiced in the next days, very soon.

So, it took 35 calendars day.

I was so frightened cause I clicked on ds-261 form once it was completed by August 28th and thought the confirmation date was reset again. Fortunately, it was not.

Now I am worried cause I sent my IV documents on Sept 3rd and they didnt scan them into the system yet.

Last time, my AOS packet took 9 days (certified and urgent mail from Spain). I hope them to scan the IV documents, very soon, today or tomorrow.

Obsession in action - I keep going back times and times again to see if I could possibly get a checklist! But I don't see anything: It would be nice to have a list of the most common things people are check listed for ( I mean beside blue pen) because that was ridiculous! If you were checklist, ,can you please write what for?

Civil Documents delivered to NVC on September 9th, scanned into system on September 10th and completed DS-260 on September 10th. Now wait begins...... (Please God,,,,Nooooo Checklist)
