Congrats tino!.......... Did u pay AOS fee for both wife and daughter or just one?

Thanks , but still have to find out if they did send the whole package.

Yes i paid for both of them . Two seperate cases . Although i could have avoided paying for both .

The reason i paid both was because my daughters case was ahead almost 2 months at NVC . I wanted to send fast the AOS documents in case of any checklist. So i could avoid the checklist for Wife's case. Fortunately there was no checklist for daughters AOS. I don't think i would had one for wife since they were both identical .

can someone plz help me out, I have two case at NVC i paid only one of the AOS fee coz am the US citizen filling for two step-kids but the other one says not paid still. should i pay the other one or will it be shown paid after they review the cases. and alsoi wanna send the packages out but now i have no cover page for the second applicant

There is no other way around to it, you can choose to send the one whose fee is paid or wait until the second fee shows as paid and print the barcode sheet and send both together with their respective barcode sheets. Barcode sheets are unique to each case.

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.

On my second, and last, flight to Orlando :D After today, I won't have time to go on VisaJourney as I'll be at the parks for 12+ hours each day, so I won't be reading (and thus replying) to any posts here until next Sunday. And if you PM me, it'll be at least 2 weeks before I reply to you. So, don't PM me :P (I've already mentioned this in the first post, but people still PM me <_< ).

Have a blast, I too will visit Disney when I will get to US.

Yes, we will be getting our originals back at interview. The way you want to send it is fine because NVC sent a list of required documents to BatmanFlow and that is how it was listed, first all originals, then photocopies.

Hi guys.. im waiting for my IV to be invoice..however im planning to send AOS and IV package together using AOS cover sheet...anybody can give me information about it? thanks...

Considering review times for packages to be ~60 days, many people are sending in IV package before IV fee invoice in hope that by the time the package is reviewed the fee would've long been paid. NVC instructions are going to change for new applications where both packages will asked to be sent together. For applications received before this change comes into effect, there are two known cases where previously sent documents were going to be reviewed together with later sent documents. I have not come across what NVC will do with a package whose fee has not been paid. If you are expecting IV to be invoiced soon, you can send your packages together.

Is anyone else having trouble signing into ceac.state.gov? It keeps giving me the below message for every single Applicant I am trying to fill out DS-260 form for so I know I am not typing the Case number and Invoice number wrong. Is anyone else also getting this message for the past 12 hours? I was able to log in before but not since the past 12 hours. Thanks,

The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered does not match our records. Please try again or contact the National Visa Center for further assistance.

Hi Everyone,

(I've tried posting this two times before, but it doesn't show up for me that it went through, so if it has, I'm sorry for the repeat!)

Anyway, I just wanted to update how our process is going since there has been so much confusion over the changes made in sending the packages, and maybe this will help in shedding a bit more light.

Basically, it happened while we've been in the middle of this process, as most people seem to be as well. We were invoiced the AOS fee (end of July) and told to submit the Ds-261 via the same email. We did so and paid the fee that following week. (Actually, in case anyone is in a similar situation, I didn't have enough money in my US account to pay it at that time, so I asked my mom to pay it and it went through without a problem.)

But then it took a few weeks to get the AOS package together, because I wanted to be very thorough. I watched videos, asked others, read the instructions over and over again, and double checked the form even after I was sure it was correct. (I found mistakes even then too!). Btw, one good youtube video on the AOS is by Mark Daly. He's an immigration lawyer, and one of his videos takes you through the whole form. He explains all the legal jargon and how it might pertain to some people. I found it very eye-opening.

Anyway, I sent it to my co-sponsor (my parents) to sign their forms, and then they sent it to NVC. I tracked it and it was received in a couple of days. A few days after that I received an email from NVC that they received the AOS package and that there was a 60 day waiting period for review.

By then, NVC had made the change to sending all the docs for IV and AOS in one package. I was worried then, because we hadn't been billed the IV fee yet, and didn't know what to do. I thought we'd have to wait for a while still to pay it, and that I would definitely be behind in all this. But then thankfully, on the 11th, we had an email saying our DS-261 was accepted and that we could pay the IV fee of $230. However, I tried to pay, but the portal was saying that the IV fee hadn't been invoiced yet. I thought it better to wait until at least Monday before trying to contact them, suspecting that since the IV fee was increasing on the 12th, they might be updating the system and that was why it wasn't payable yet. It turned out I was right (at least about waiting to contact them), because yesterday (the 12th) I was able to pay the IV fee.

So now we'll try to get the IV package sent by this week, since we now have the cover sheet, and as well try to complete the DS-260. For those of you wondering about the IV cover sheet, it was basically the same thing as for the AOS. The barcode is exactly the same, and the address to send the package to is:

National Visa Center

Attn. CMR

31 Rochester Aveue suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

Hope this helps answer someone's questions. I'll post later if we receive a checklist or something else pertanent. Have a good weekend!

Hello

In the photogrpahs to be sent with the IV Civil Docs we need to write the (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

What should we use to write these : Pencil or Black Pen

Thanks

Yes, we will be getting our originals back at interview. The way you want to send it is fine because NVC sent a list of required documents to BatmanFlow and that is how it was listed, first all originals, then photocopies.

Thanks a lot dilmera !!

Can I go back and just view (not edit ) form DS-260 without having an issue (like clicking on form ds260 resets the date). We have successfully submitted it with confirmation no, but I just wanted to check some information on it, though I know I wont be able to change anything now but just wanted to make sure if I put it correctly or not. So can I view it? Has anybody tried?

Thanks , but still have to find out if they did send the whole package.

Yes i paid for both of them . Two seperate cases . Although i could have avoided paying for both .

The reason i paid both was because my daughters case was ahead almost 2 months at NVC . I wanted to send fast the AOS documents in case of any checklist. So i could avoid the checklist for Wife's case. Fortunately there was no checklist for daughters AOS. I don't think i would had one for wife since they were both identical .

just curious. How could you avoid paying for one of the cases? I thought it has to be paid separately for each separate case? no?

I see that there are changes on the DoS website about sending AOS and IV documents in one package. We have already sent the AOS and I am about to send our IV package. Should i include AOS documents again? we do electronic processing.

Thats for people who will be entering the NVC now....I am sending my IV package soon and I am not sending the AOS again....There is a chance that when they start reviewing you AOS based on your scan date they also might review your IV docs if they are there at that point..... btw what are you using to write the beneficialry details at the back of photographs ...pencil or balck pen/....Thanks
