Bummed seeing a fellow Finn get approved in measly 29 days when I'm over 85 and counting.

Somehow I have a feeling that as a same-sex couple we get to wait longer than average to begin with.

SIGH SIGH. :clock:

It's hard not to take it personally. This approval thing is like a lottery. Applicants with fiance(e)s in certain countries get a fast track. Some others are lucky and seem to slip through earlier. Then you have the CSC vs TSC ..... let's not even go there :ranting:

And no, nothing anyone says helps make it easier. It's not a fair system. It's a lucky dip, unfortunately. I didn't check your timeline before replying, but assume you are at TSC.

Ah. You guys are right. I wrote that in a fit of frustration after an exchange with my co-worker that went like so:

CW: So anything new on the visa?

Me: Nah, but I saw another Finn-US couple get approved in less than a month.

CW: Mmh. Man and woman, right?

Me: ... yeah.

CW: Mm-Hmm.

Mustn't see hate where there is none. And nah, we're CSC filers with a looooong wait time. I half anticipated it but got my hopes up seeing all these 40-50 day NOA2s, and lately many with less than a month.

Patience is a virtue.

Sorry that it is taking longer for you but I think it is just a luck of the draw situation. No one really knows why some take longer than others (except for the Philippine situation). As a same sex couple, we got approval in 54 day so I don't think the delay for you is related to that. But maybe you will have more luck in the future steps of approval. I am reading that getting through the next step (the NVC processing) is taking a lot longer than normal these days (it used to be about 2 weeks). There are some people waiting a month and NVC still has not sent their application on to the embassy/consulate. Patience is needed, unfortunately. Best of luck.

So what do you deduce from those figures? There seems to be a high proportion of Philippines.. also the transferees are often just a confusion over it being Dallas lockbox rather than being transferred from TSC to CSC. CSC is sure pumping them out though so I hope there are more TSC files sent across to CSC... to compensate for the serious imbalance. We wouldn't want CSC to be left with nothing to do... right?

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file

CSC gives priority to certain nationalities and TSC transfers.

August filer here! NOA1 came on 8/29.

Have any of you noticed the VJ estimate jumping closer and closer to now?

October 20th it said "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between December 21, 2014 and January 27, 2015*. "

It's moved up so much (a few days to a month every day since), it now says: "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between November 7, 2014 and December 12, 2014*."

Not that I would complain if this were true :dancing: , but I have read all over that these are wildly inaccurate :dead: . I am just wondering how many approvals must have happened to push our estimate from Jan-Feb to Nov-Dec, and if anyone else has seen their estimates running towards the present?

Mine says between Sep 27 and Oct 7. Here we are on Oct 24th and I still haven't received my NOA2.

As of today, I have been waiting for 77 days.

Here is the issue. We were also curious as to why there was suddenly a big jump over a short space of time, despite not seeing many TSC approvals. If you have a look at Igor's list, and click on each timeline for the recently approved petitions at TSC, you will see that almost all of these were transfers. It's false data, producing a false result. One would have thought TSC would start pumping them out now that they have worked through most or many of the petitions filed prior to the transfer period, however we still sit and wait. And wait. And wait .....

If anything, mine has moved further away twice now. Currently teasing at Oct 27 to Nov 8. Probably because there's been an influx of fast approvals for Sept and early Oct filers Igor's List assumes that progress is speeding up for all of us. Or that's my guess anyway.

I pulled this info off of Igor's list. I just broke them down into the days petitions were approved.

I was wondering where you got this information?? I have filed for my fiance in the Philippines and according to this, it looks like they are working on 8/22/14 but according to some October filers, they have already received their NOA2. Was hoping things were moving quickly but it seems to be hit or miss.

This is getting depressing. I checked out Oct filers' thread and some filers have been approved already.

Here I am waiting for 78th day now. I am just speechless, and can't understand how CSC process their petitions. :ranting:
