Some sent their pit bull out on my recently. I stood their as they walked over the street slowly, while the dog had me apprehended and then they asked me do I live around here before they grabbed their dog's chain.

Noted: Next time go jogging with a machete and a taser. I want to see the guys look on his face the next time he sends his sweet little pup my way.

Maybe you should taser the kid the next time he throws a rock.

Something similar happened to me a few years ago.. A lady would always jog about the same time I did just before the sun came up (I was more motivated back then) she always jogged with two very large dogs off leash. Usually we would be jogging in opposite directions so I would see the silhouette of her dogs first and they would run up to me, put their head near my crotch and growl until she jogged by and casually said "c'mon" as she passed by. Never said sorry and I'm sure the dogs were doing just as she planned.

I wasn't sure what to do about it but then one day it hit me.. The next time the dogs stopped my progress and did the crotch/growl thing I put my hand in my pocket and said to the woman as she jogged past "Lady, please don't make me shoot your dogs" - From that point on she called them to her as soon as she saw me coming and I never had a problem after.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

Good story. I am not sure a threat of shooting the dog would work so well had the dogs been pit bulls and the location redneck trailer park.

I wasn't recommending a course of action, just sharing an experience when her story sparked a memory. You have to adjust according to a situation.

You sparked another memory - I had a pitbull bite my calf and produce blood through my jeans but somehow there was no puncture to the jeans themselves- In this case it was my fault, I had signaled to the owners that my dog was friendly so they waved back and let their dog off leash and it shot at me like a rocket. My dog can have problems with other dogs if she is on a leash but the other dog is not.. In this case I was not ready with the leash release and had a brain freeze of panic when their dog bolted and could not get the leash off by the time the dog made the distance. My dog gave it the "back off" growl and they started going at it. To stop the fighting I picked up my dog (not an easy thing - she is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix) and the pit went immediately at my leg - Nothing big just a quick bite - maybe half a second - but it was incredibly painful and hard to walk afterward. I looked at my pants and saw no blood of holes.. I talked to the pits owners for a few minutes (they were shocked at what happened, but again if I had done as I signaled there would have been no problem).. I limped back to my truck which was still a few miles down the trail and about halfway back I looked at my jeans and there was a fair amount of blood soaking through where I had been bit. The wound was very weird and took about six months to completely heal - from a half second bite from a pit that was still a bit hyped up from a five second brawl. Tough dogs.

I've never had or used any account on this site but this one.. Period.

On this one account (the only one I have ever used) I have never changed my name... Ever.

That's a complete POS thing to say.

I think this is a case of mistaken identity. You know , you fit the profile. He was having a rough night, too much coffee and doughnuts. I amsure he will be along later to explain, but until then please accept my feeble explanation

P.S. on edit... What does this have to do with point of sale software?

I'm curious as to why you keep starting all the new accounts? Aren't you just satisfied with a name change? Or are you trying to hide something?

I'm going to claim the same excuse - I did a quick log in while eating my breakfast and replied without bothering to pay much attention to who posted it otherwise I would have assumed it was probably a mistake. Amazing how the human mind works.. I was thinking "do I have another account? .. I know I don't remember ever having another account.. but that was stated pretty boldly so he must have something.. I was suspended that one time and I remember thinking about making another account to see if I could figure out why I was suspended.. Did I ever make it? I certainly never posted if I did.. but it was only 24 hours I would not bother..." Crazy  I stood in the shower for 20 minutes trying to remember if I had ever used another account. I came out thinking maybe he replied to the wrong person.

I say "POS" so much at work for our Point of Sale systems I forget it has the other uses.
