The best way is to keep an eye on the VB monthly and call them not email them as it takes like forever for them to reply to an inquiry email so just call them

NVC has unusual workload so the waiting time for calling will be much longer than before

Hi there, thank u for the link.

Yes im not yet married, we prefer no to, but i have a daughter 3 yrs old, if ever my visa becomes available can i also bring my daughter with me? How about her mom?

As a f2b beneficiary, your daughter can immigrate with you.

You can not bring mom along as you are being petitioned as unmarried.

Once you get a green card, you go home and marry and it will take 2-3 years to petition for her.

Do not make the mistake of getting married before getting the green card. Marriage before the green card disqualifies you from using a visa for an unmarried beneficiary.

Best of luck

Thank you for the info mr. Aaron,

May i also ask regarding the one year contact requirement of the nvc, that i must contact them once a year if not all the documents and fees submitted will expire, i asked my mom regading this, she said she hasn't contacted them, u think it will affect the processing of my visa?

No. Not contacting the NVC will not affect you.

The one year contact requirement only applies when the NVC is waiting for you.

Since your PD is not near to being current, the NVC is not waiting for you. There is nothing for you to do except wait for your PD to be current in about 2-3 years.

My PD is 2006 and the current PD in VB is almost end of 2003, u think the NVC will likely to contact me soon? One more, who are they going to contact to just in case my PD becomes current? My mother who lives in the US? Or me ?
