Wow, not starting any drama, but IMO it sounds like most of you don't or haven't had children that age. I have a two year old little girl and when she wants to be a hellion even a tap on the bottom wont stop her. (and yes, we do tap on the bottom, but that's the extent of it). I think the airline made the right decision with removing them AND reimbursing them.

But kids are kids, always have been, always will be.

My daughter will be 15 this March. She's a great young girl...always was. A tap on the bottom would work...bunny, that's not violence. Everyone parents their own way. If you think that's violence, you have issues. We're not talking about punching a kid here. I don't advocate abuse but sometimes a little reminder is needed. Even the threat of a reminder worked wonders at times.

oh really? if its not violence then allow your mama to come hit you right now, allow her to kncok your block off! this is the same thing - violence is violence no matter what the hell you be thinking! if you have to bully a 3 year old with violence then you are WRONG!- dayum wrong!

I think the parents needed to spend a little more time, prior to the flight, explaining to the little girl that she needed to behave. If they had explained that going on an airplane is exciting and sat and talked to her about how everything works and why she needs to be sitting in her seat, seatbelted, at take off and landing, it may have helped a bit.

I can't imagine having a child behave like that on a plane. I have three children, all grown up now, but they all loved flying and did as they were told and thoroughly enjoyed any flight. I think educating a child about the experience before they actually are placed in that position makes them more comfortable.

Seems like these parents didn't have much of a clue.

"The father said they would never fly AirTran again". I guess we can all count our blessings there then!

Our journey started in 2001 and it's still not over. It's been a rollercoaster ride all the way! Let me off - I wanna be sick!

There's a huge difference between giving your kid a tap on the a$$ and beating the sh!t out of him/her.

And for the record, if it was possible, I would allow my mother to beat the sh!t out of me for as long as she wanted at this very moment. It would mean that she hasn't been dead for 13 years. :(

She should not have been escorted off of the plane. She should have been taken to the restroom and flushed

10Yr GC arrived 07/02/09 - Naturalization is next

The drama begins - again!

And now the drama ends - they took the Green card . . .

When I was little, all I needed was a stern look and I'd be back in line sharpish.

With the scheduling of flight orders at the airport they were at, let alone the airport they were going to, they had every right to throw the kid off. 'oh but we just needed some time to soothe her'....well then get a private plane :)
