My wife has set the radio to a different channel today to soak in some American "culture" - It's nice not to have the reggaeton blasting but now I'm listening to a blast-from-the-past top 40 show from Casie Casem. It has been a morning of Ohio Players, Neil Sedaka, and stories of the Hopi Indians and long distance dedications. Luckily she just finished hot gluing multitudes of various colored rhinestones and ribbons on the dogs so we can go out and I can get those"you-balless-wonder" stares from all the other guys walking their dogs along the trail.. Awesome Sunday!

i have been following the derp, it started yesterday in full force. i feel extra derpy myself at this point.

I don't consider walking or swimming too hard. Entering this country totally under the radar would be worth it for a terrorist. Plant a few hundred or even a few thousand around this country and at some point turn them loose. Look at all the manpower in Boston..(dealing with LEO'S). For all practical purposes snot nose collage kids. .. Now put trained personal (terrorist) to work in this country. With hundreds of millions of dollars behind them. ....Their weapon is terror not total destruction of the infrastructure...Bankrupting every town with police overtime...And more.. There is very little reserve dollar wise in many businesses. Business disruption like what happened after 911 in NY could have major influence on commerce. Creating ripple affects on businesses all over the country. Today every thing is Just in time management. After 911 I went into Canada upon returning what was a 20 minute wait passing through customs took a hour and a half.

There are exactly zero examples of anyone entering illegally and causing any significant kind of damage.

Both Boston marathon bombers were either U.S. Citizens or almost through getting it. The one in custody is a citizen and the other dead one was being approved when they killed him.

Tim McVeigh: a U.S. Citizen. He bombed the federal building for the exact same reasons Osama Bin Laden bombed the WTC and the brothers bombed the Boston Marathon: because of our overseas wars.

And yes - exactly so: Bin Laden told us the strategy was to bankrupt us. Not because we have to respond to any of this the way they did in Boston - My God how stupid. It is because our government is so predictable in responding with total police state mentality. The strategy of both bankrupting us and pushing our government into totalitarianism is working perfectly.

Regardless of what anyone feels about the president, he is a united states citizen. There is an agenda in making him appear as some sort of foreign 'other'. Why would you want that controversy?

He's taken to purposely saying things to get responses as of late. This is an example of that. It's still derpy though.

Alas, there is. Bring our men and women home and station them along the Mexico and Canada borders. I am sure the motley crew would be ecstatic at the notion of having the US armed forces stationed inside the country.

I disagree. It is just like the stupid and ghastly expensive war on drugs. The committed people who want to do deadly harm simply adapt to whatever obstacles we erect. Sure, farm laborers coming up to work in tomato fields will be curtailed. But it will do zero for student visa terrorists and U.S. citizens bombing federal buildings - which is how they have actually done it instead of these stupid fantasies about the need to sneak across borders.

We are talking about people with money, educations, and specific training. Cocaine went from average boats to racing boats to now submarines. Aviation has adapted too, and it hasn't curtailed the importation of drugs in any way justifying all the costs we impose on ourselves and even more importantly the governments where the cocaine is grown or transported.

Look at what we have to go through to get green cards. It is called VisaJourney because it is a marathon and what has it done to prevent illegal immigration? Made it harder for us, that's all. Millions of them are here illegally just since the last amnesty. They're doing amnesty again, and will do it again years later too. So what is the point of stationing tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of troops on our borders when the politicians just give them all amnesty anyway?

We are insane as a country.
