Hello there! Im from the philippines, First time to join in a forum and its quite interesting coz i read some of the topics with so many replies and i find it helpful to those who were asking, hope u can help me too guys.

Me and my daughter are planning to go to disneyland this december, and also to visit her granma in california,as a christmas gift to her i stop working coz i want my full attention be focused on my daughter coz she started to go to school.her daddy is a seaman so he can afford all the expenses we will incur in the said trip. We have also savings to support if ever they will ask that, Does anyone here who has the same story as mine? How likely we are to get approved? Of corz we have no intention of staying there as illegal coz i know the immigration law and she's studying here in the philippines, i will just excuse her for 10 days in january from her school.

One more thing, her daddy is under the petition by his mom, as f2b, so wer not yet married.

Hope u guys can help me or give me some advice on what to do.

They are going to want evidence that you have "strong ties" to the Philippines and not going to use the tourist visa to illegally enter the USA.

If you have a well paying job, a business and property you might get the visa, but it is unusual.

My Fiancée applied last year based on her daughter required her to return and she was denied. I know you have no intention of violating the law, neither did we, but there are lots who do so it makes it difficult for the rest of us.

http://manila.usembassy.gov/b1-b2.html has instructions.

I hate to be negative but you should be prepared for disappointment.

Your chances are slim at best, with no job to return to, a close relative living in the US and your husband out to sea...your stated intentions don't carry much weight, as thousands of your countrymen have said the same thing, yet are still in the US.

So sad, im starting to lose hope we just want my daughter to be happy this christmas, anyways, thank u for the replies.

I can show to them that i hava a property here in the philippines(land title) also i can ask the school to furnish us my daughter's school records. U think it will help if i will show to them that im also enrolled in a review school, coz im going to take the board exam in may 2015?

The track record of the Philippines will likely work against you, as thousands of your countrymen said similar things, but 'forgot' to return...the CO does not care WHY you want to GO to the US; they are only interested in what overwhelming reasons will cause you to LEAVE the US. Trips to Disneyland don't matter....remember, schools can be abandoned (there are an estimated 700,000 kids attending public schools in the US using their B2 visa....) and courses you may have signed up for don't count for much...you have been out of work for some time...a property can be managed by relatives in your absence, etc....it will be up to you to convince the CO you will return...not papers, not some random future educational course....it has to be compelling.

U think its like that, so disappointed, why keep on generalizing it, not all filipinos are like that, how can i get a job when no one will take good care of my daughter the way i do, not having a job is not my choice, i just have no choice. I love working but i can sacrifice it for the sake of my daughter.well if that is the tie that ur talking to i cant give it right now .

i have all the reason to go back here

travel agencies do not and cannot improve one's chances to get a tourist visa....there is no reason to blame me nor the COs...blame the untold thousands of YOUR countrymen who have forgotten to live up to their word after having been given an object of trust. They are to blame for any difficulties you or anyone else may have obtaining a tourist visa...

and while you might think it unfair that the standards for getting a tourist visa to my country are so strict, but again, many thousands of Filipinos have used their tourist visas to live and work in the US....sad, but true...and that salient fact will only make it more difficult for others to get a tourist visa. If you doubt this, ask around. It is a fact of life.

Thanks for the enlightenment, ill just give it a try, hope we can convince the CO, if its denied then atleast we tried, hope i can also get a positive reply here, who has the same case as mine then get approved.

True enlightenment would be indicated by your understanding of the facts that have been presented. Your case for example will be unique so it very unlikely you will find a case which is the same as yours. Even if there was such a case what happened in that case will have little to do with yours because the proof they had about returning would be the same as you may have.

You will have to accept the fact that you MUST indicate to the officer exactly why you will return to the PI. You will have to overcome the fact that the P I is known as a high fraud country. Taking a child just makes it harder if not impossible.

Travel agencies provide travel services. They have nothing to do with your return other than handing you a ticket.

Take dvc's advise. Take the child to Japan to make her happy if that's really your goal. The more you travel outside the P I and return the better chance you have a few years later to use that as evidence that you do return. Plan trips for you and child to every country that allows you in without a visa. That should make your travel agency happy too.
