Well, I was going to try and schedule today, but when my fiancé went to the BPI branch to make the deposit/payment, they told her they don't do it at that branch, so she went to the one they told her to go to and they too said they don't process Visa payment there. They said she had to go to the BPI branch near SM Manila. I don't understand because the website said you could make the deposit/payment at any BPI branch. Is that not true?

Info on the embassy website doesn't state "any branch", it states any Bank of the Philippines Islands ... small branches very possibly aren't setup with the system for receiving payment.

My fiancee did it at a small branch in Rizal, but she paid cash, not Visa... I dunno if that makes a difference.

Cash at Bank: Any nonimmigrant visa applicant can pay their fee in cash at the nearest branch of Bank of Philippine Island (BPI). You are required to bring a copy of your passport bio page for the MRV fee payment. An applicant is required to fill in passport number, amount, full name (as appearing in the passport) and contact number in the deposit slip available at the bank branch. Upon payment of the MRV application fee, the bank will issue you a copy of receipt.

I guess I take "..at nearest branch" to many any branch of BPI

I guess I'm taking it too literally... LOL

Also here:

Overview

You can pay your nonimmigrant visa application fee in cash at any Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) branch in the Philippines.

Starting September 1, 2012, it will be necessary to bring the printed deposit slip to the bank for payment. The bank will not process your visa fee without the correct deposit slip.

Hard reality is... if the branch says they can't do it... you find a branch that does do it.

Welcome to TAGALOG-ENGLISH 101... Hehe

Anyway, just tell your fiancee to visit a big BPI branch.. Maybe she went to savings, and it is a small branch.

You forgot to read the small print. 2034.gif

Please follow the directions closely as they will differ at the branch once you arrive. We cannot be responsible for human error or our inability to communicate to our branches. Branch policies may differ from corporate direction hence the mess you find yourself in now. Please bare with us as we are transitioning to more convoluted instructions.
