Hi,

I have a 2 year green card that expires october 2014. I have already submitted the I-751 form for removal of conditions. I spent three months (december 2013-march 2014) outside the USA.

I flew back to the USA on 20th march 2014. I hope to travel back home (UK) on the 20th September (184 days). I hope to stay in the UK for 6 months or until I am called for an interview for the removal of conditions.

My first question: Has enough time elapsed between 20th march and 20 th september to count as the 6 month minimum needed to meet green card requirements? (all websites are stating this as exactly 6 months, however I add it up as 6 months and 1 day)?

Secondly: technically it is ok if I leave the USA for the next 5 months and so many days as long as next year I stay at least again 6 months? Are the years counted January to january or in 12 month periods?

Thanks for your help!
