Does anyone here have sleep apnea and if so do you use a mask? What kind of mask and how long did it take to get used to it?

Not me but my x and last bf both had to use the masks. Dont know the names but do know that once you can get used to the process you will sleep much better, seems like one was face type mask other fit more like cap around head with more like nose (plugs) (its been while)

I have it and I wear a mask.

After wearing it just one night I started feeling much more rested during the day and I was able to stop taking my blood pressure medicine. I found that my blood pressure problems were completely due to the apnea.

I have been using it for over 3 years now and it has made a great difference to me.

I don't know if you ever get used to wearing it, but it makes such a difference I would never consider not using it.

I use a mask. The name of the machine I use is Devil Bliss and it makes very little noise. I tried a tube that wraps around and had just nasal tubes, but the sound of the air going through it was considerably louder and bothered me so I switched back. Is it the machine that is making the noise or the rush of air around the mask? You might talk to the medical equipment supplier about it.

Thanks I will. I don't know what is making the noise but it sounds like a rush of air. She gave me the nasal tubes and the nasal mask. The nasal tubes actually hurt the inside of my nose when the air would shoot up into it but the nasal mask was comfortable. Just the noise issue. Maybe earplugs would work. lol. Funny how now I'm the one with the noise issue and before everyone hearing me snore were the ones with it!

I do remember the plugs need to be certain size, maybe you need to be resized everything can be adjusted to fit correctly, and the noise becomes nothing after awhile, you just get used to it, a rep. came to our house to set everything up correctly
