Hey, How u guys doing there?

I got my EAD card last Saturday, very excited ! I was told that I had a big smile on my face while i was sleeping. LOL !

Today I went to the SSA to apply for the SS card. I got there about 12:30 pm, I was like oh boy, so many people are waiting. I got a chick-in No. and waited about half hour. It was a nice lady called my number. I presented my EAD card and passport, then she put some info into the computer, and made copies of my passport and EAD.

She asked me one question, "is this your first time in US or you have been living here for a while ?"

I answered that "no, last entry was February ." I have no idea why she asked that, Maybe just a small talk or being nice.

In the end she gave me a paper, which says SSA acknowledge that I'm applying for SS card, they will verify the immigration status with Federal, State, or local office in the United States that issued the document. (Verify my EAD, So i guess it's USCIS.) It says on paper it may take up to 4 weeks. However, she said normally it needs about 2 weeks. And they will mail it to me if everything works out.

So finger Crossed.

Hello there !

Dude, Your postS have no punctuation at all, very hard to understand. Anyway, I sort of felt you are telling us your story about EAD, I have no idea that SSC would guarantee your employment eligibility. Are you sure about that? If that is the case, then congratulations! You don't need to wait at all!

One more thing to say, nowadays it's free to apply EAD, if you are filing for AOS, you only need to pay for AOS, and it could including EAD and Advance parole. You still need to fill several forms to apply them, but you don't need to pay for them any more. It's all covered in AOS FEE.
