Expedite approved- NVC still has my case

So I found out my case was approved for expedite on Aug. 15th (I found out on Monday aug 18th)
The issue or at least is very stressful to know that NVC is still holding onto my case "for processing" and cannot give me a time frame when it will leave their facilities.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? How long do they take? I call everyday, same answer. Argh!

Help! Advise!

They may be verifying the expedite with the embassy before sending your case. Just because the NVC grants an expedite doesn't mean the embassy does.

So what happens if the embassy doesn't approve it?

does it really just sit at the embassy.. my expedite was approved last month and still no interview date.. I have been told that my husband will be contacted.. its been 3 weeks I dont know what to do..

IV fee shows as paid: Aug 8-2014

IV packet sent: AUG - 1 - 2014

DS-260 Completed: Aug 8 2014

Case Complete Aug 22 2014

CEAC Status update Ready AUG 25 2014

Contacted by Embassy September 12 2014

Returned all paperwork and given an interview date Sept 18

Interview date Sept 30 2014

Approved Sept 30 2014

How did you find out it was approved?

(F) USCIS

19 February 2014 - Sent I-130

20 February 2014 - Received at Texas Service Center

24 February 2014 - NOA 1

29 May 2014 - I-130 Approval/NOA2

05 June 2014 - Case shipped to NVC

(F) NVC

01 July 2014 - Case received

14 July 2014 - Case Number, IIN, and BIN assigned

29 July 2014 - DS -261 Available and complete

02 August 2014 - AOS Bill invoiced and paid

04 August 2014 - AOS Bill "PAID" status

04 August 2014 - AOS Package sent

06 August 2014 - AOS Package scanned at NVC

02 September 2014 - Expedite Request sent

09 September 2014 - IV Package sent with AOS Cover

12 September 2014 - IV Package scanned at NVC

10 September 2014 - Expedite Request under review e-mail

11 September 2014 - IV Bill invoiced and paid

12 September 2014 - IV Bill "PAID" status

14 September 2014 - DS-260 Completed online

16 September 2014 - Expedite request approved
