yup and another post stating perfecto applications get sent to CSC! Wow these posts are everywhere! its like insinuating because I had an interview (AND got a name hit) I somehow failed to read the instructions carefully! the fact that people who get RFE's also get transferred kinda puts a kink in that thought process.

I know our application was flawless - the BCINS officer told us last time we visited. Yet, we have been waiting since late November 2004 without as much as an interview. It is all a big cloud of retardation at the BCINS. Depending upon if your application is lucky to hit a person with a semblance of an IQ you may get your application processed efficiently, properly and effectively.

I agree here. Our application was flawless. We sent everything on the list. We still got an RFE as many of us on here did. We got transferred to CSC later on, after USCIS received our RFE information. To even insinuate that a less than perfect app is what "might" hold someone up is a bit haughty in my opinion.

Firing squad at dawn? This is a public forum. Not everyone is going to be over the moon about a GC approval in 45 days. You take the good with the bad and if you don't like it, you don't play anymore. Having a bit more understanding for the ones on here who have been waiting a long time, or are in namecheck hell seems to be hard for some of you. Sorry if you don't like my bluntness, but there it is. We're fed up too, seeing everyone else pass us on the AOS path. Some have been waiting far longer than we have and for them I do feel so bad. So rather than jump at the one who is reacting in a less than perfect way to someone's good news, try to put yourself in THEIR shoes for a moment...you might be a bit more sympathetic.

I don't have any patience for people who because their green card is being delayed, feel compelled to come into threads where people have had theirs approved quickly and piss all over the happieness of these couples. I am sure had these certain people had their green cards approved quickly, they wouldn't be doing this, nor would they appreciate being attacked because theirs was approved quickly while someone else is waiting. That's just my opinion though. I can have all the sympathy in the world for them, but it goes away when I see these attacks.

Knowing the person to whom you are referring to, I have to say in her defense that you are most incorrect in what you say. Like I said, until you walk in their shoes for a moment, don't be so damn quick to judge. You don't know anything about what she and her husband are going through.

A lot of us here going through AOS now, including the OP, know exactly what it's like to have our cases held up, and what it's like to watch people who applied after you get approved before you. There are many ways in which many people have been screwed over during this process, for some of us it was IMBRA, for others it's a long AOS wait, now there's the whole DCF fiasco that's going on. No one gets to own the right to complain that they've had it worse and that therefore they can piss all over someone else's happiness if they want because, in the end, we've all got it one way or another.

All I'm saying is have a bit more understanding of the ones who's lives are basically on hold because of USCIS. Maybe RJ could have phrased her post a bit differently. I could certainly sit here and complain bitterly that my husband's life is in limbo because we're still waiting and how unfair it is that others have bypassed us having filed just last month! But I don't, yet I can understand the frustrations of certain ones whose life is in the hands of the USCIS.

When you're able to put yourself in their place for a moment, then come back and be judgmental.

That's absolutely right mercy.

I said in my earlier post in this thread that I have found it difficult to feel the joy for others. That is my failing.

I won't use the excuse that because we've got troubles that it gives me some right to be nasty to posters. But unfortunately (because I'm human and have feelings) it hurts beyond a describeable dimension to see so many passing us by. Because of that hurt and humaness, it causes me to overread.

I and many others of us who have stayed on this board for long periods of time have done so for two reasons. Number One - to give back what was given to us when we passed this way previously. And Number Two - because we find the process fascinating and challenging. I'm sure we have also stayed to follow the stories of those we personally care about.

Is it stupid to care about the journeys of faceless posters to this forum - to try and help answer their questions? To try and discover the process and make their journey easier? Maybe. Is it a waste of time? Maybe. I never have felt that way.

I worry about what many of you will go through. I've tried to stay here to help. I don't sugar-coat my answers or do loads of hand-holding because, at the end of the day, it won't help to get you through it. I have however, tried to be polite.

I was impolite. For that I am publicly embarrassed and do apologize. However, I never hurled a personal insult at someone. I am not a b*tch. I am hard around the edges and a cut-to-the-chase older woman. But not a b*tch.

And I'm saying that a lot of us DO understand. I'm not being judgmental, I know all too well what it's like to have ones life on hold, and I feel awful for everyone going through it. However, there really is no need to come on here and be snippy with someone just because they were approved before you. Yeah, it sucks, but it's not their fault. Maybe you didn't actually read what I wrote, because what I'm saying is that a lot of us CAN put ourselves in their place because we've been through it one way or another.

RJ, you posted while I was replying and then I took too long to edit. I certainly don't condone someone calling you a b*tch. That was way out of line, especially when it's obvious that you're feeling frustrated by the process.

I agree completely, it's not stupid to care about the journeys of faceless posters to this forum. I've found more joy in the happiness and approvals of strangers than I realized I was capable of, and certainly more sadness in their denials and delays.
