My husband is filling a petition for me. He's making enough now like $2500 every month (he's working on 3 jobs now) However last year he only made $19,100. According to the 125% Federal Poverty level guideline, for the family size of 2, he needs to make at $19,663. Do we need a co-sponsor or what?

I would suggest having a co-sponsor. You're close, but you wouldn't want to risk it with such an important thing in your life.

He started workinh on his second job last year (july 2013) and he started working on his third job last month.

He's now making $2500 a month. He is working as a CNA.

CNAs usually makes $10 to $15 per hour to start out.

My daughter made about $12/hour for a year as CNA while preparing for the medical school.

And sometime they have chance to work overtime.

Does he now have a full time CNA job?

And can he get a letter from the employer?

Just one $10/hour full time job should equal to about $20,000/year.

If he's making $2500/month now, and he can get employer's letter and paycheck stubs to back it up,

I don't think you guys need a co-sponsor.

By the way, is $2500/month from one full-time job (which would look better),

or is that from several part-time jobs?

Regardless, can he get employer letter from all jobs,

and does he have last 6 months paycheck stubs for all current full or part time jobs?

If he makes $2500/month of the three jobs, that's 30k per year. However it's up to the consular officer if they will accept that.

He has employer's letter from all the 3 jobs. Yes he keeps all his paycheck. He started working on his second job last year (july 2013) and third job last month. But with 2 jobs he makes like $2000.

By the way he is short of $500 last year because.he went here twice. First he stayed in april 2013 for 10 days then he stayed a month in December 2013. So we didn't get paid a month paycheck in December. if he did we should have like $21,000 last yearw

He could use assets like cash to make up the short fall. For $500, he would need $1500 in cash as assets need to be 3X (for a spouse 5X for all others) the amount needed. It is current income that counts. Last years income only shows consistency, but it is what he makes now that matters.

Good luck,

Dave

Then i guess were ok with his income now. We'll just get bank statements to back us up. Thanks
