Bringing gadgets( anyone having issues bringing laptop ang tablet at POE?)

My family will be leaving soon and our POE will be LAX. We want to bring with us laptop and tablet bought here in philippines. Anyone having problems bringing this kind of gadgets at the point of entry? Pls advice. Thanks.

In the unlikely event they make you turn it on to show it is a valid device and not some sort of bomb, make sure the battery is charged.

But no problem taking it into the US.

Thanks fellow vj's for the quick response...how about external hard drive? Instead of bringing our photos we are now starting storing our pictures in a hard drive. Is it ok to bring it in our hand carry?
