Oh sure, I tried it (an Austin zip code) for the fun of it, but it said my petition would go to the TSC. No surprise there. But that's disappointing because TSC is so very slow with the I-129Fs by comparison. And I still don't understand the TSC -> VSC jurisdiction stuff....

Guess I'd just have to file and see. But the I-129F in TSC is slower than an I-130, so I might just make a short trip and go the spousal route!

I found if you enter the petitioner's zip code here https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=SC (( at the bottom of the page )) it will tell you what Service Center that state is sent to.... my husband is in Michigan and it said we can expect our petition to be sent to Nebraska :P but with the possibility of transfers - who knows?! LOL

Best of luck!

This is very useful!!

I was also told by someone who recently got their K-1 that even though her fiance lives in Iowa, they sent the application to texas because she lives in Ontario lol. I live in Toronto so wondering if that is actually a possibility. Guess we will find out!

I filed my petition on Oct 12, 2013 through TSC and I had no problem at all.

Congratulations! My concern isn't whether or not there would be a problem, it's the disparity in processing times between TSC and VSC/CSC.

Can someone give me the exact address for the California location?

It's maddening that I can't find the exact address location and I've looked everywhere. We plan on using USPS Express to send it out...

All applications are being sent to a lockbox / sorting center in Texas first (NOT the same as the Texas Service Center), where they are being sorted and then forwarded to the appropriate service center. Please re-read the instructions on the USCIS website; you will find the sorting center address in there.

Good luck!

Our petition processed at TSC and approved quick. So don't worry if yours goes to TSC. If your case is complete with the documents so no problem. You will approve quick too. Goodluck.

Ok thank you for the feedback. It almost seems certain that my petition would go to the TSC since I live in Austin, TEXAS; but I suppose ya never know. One question though: you said that you were "approved quick." Can you define quick?

Thanks!
