No longer Together, How to Withdraw the Application?

Me and my Fiance are not together anymore for personal problems, we are scheduled for the interview next month but i would like to stop the procedure so in future if my fiance wishes to apply any other kind of visas it doesn't create any problem for him.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

14 November 2013 - Sent I-129F Package

18 November 2013 - NOA1 (4 days after sending package)

21 November 2013 - Recieved Text and E-mail with Case Number NOA1

25 November 2013 - Received NOA1 Hardcopy in Mail

25 November 2013 - Alien Registration Number Changed

14 January 2014 - NOA2 (54 days after NOA1)

17 January 2014 - USCIS Shipped to NVC

29th January 2014 - NVC Recieved and assigned Case #

4th February 2014 - Abu Dhabi Embassy Recieved our case and the status is now "READY" for interview

24th September 2014 - Interview date - FINGERS CROSSED!

Write a letter to the US embassy explaining you are as the petitioner withdraw the petition. Include all information are needed from both of you. Sorry to hear that and wish both of you all the best.

I would strongly suggest contacting the Embassy and USCIS so that both can be sure that the process has ended without negative immigration consequences for either the beneficiary or the USC Petitioner.

Before you make this step make sure the relationship has really ended and there is no chance of reconciliation because otherwise you will start all over again and you both have invested time in this process.

So sorry to hear about your misfortune. To make sure that you cover all of your bases, I would suggest that the petitioner write a letter of withdrawal to the intended interviewing US embassy/consulate AND to the USCIS service center that processed your initial petition. Be sure to mention all pertinent receipt numbers, case file numbers, A#, etc. If you are still on good terms with your former fiancé, consider sending them a copy of the letter for their files.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

since it is already approved you need to send the letter to the Embassy where the interview is to take place

You can also send one to USCIS and to DOS, but they will only forward it to the Embassy of his/her country where is.

After a coulple of month you will get a letter stating that the petition has been withdrawn by the Petitioner

I canceled a approved K1 Visa last year before the interview was scheduled....

Sorry to hear that things didn't workout for you :(

We had to cancel our approved I-129 petition for which we sent withdrawl letter to USCIS and Islamabad Embassy. We sent the copy of our NOA2 along the letters and It took them more than 4 months to officially close our case.
