Processing dates of the I-485

I have researched many cities in many states, all dates for processing are July 17, 2006. How accurate are these dates and why are they the same exact date across the board?

they act as a rough guide but i would not put too much faith in their accuracy. You would be better served looking at the timelines on Visa Journey.

You have to take all those processing dates with a grain of salt.

Almost every single application that both my daughter and I have applied for were approved long before the processing dates on the USCIS website.

I don't know why they even both publishing them. They are very inaccurate.

They used to report differently. There were different dates for each city. What was noticed was that certain offices were much faster than others. Vermont is typically a month and New Orleans is typically eighteen months to adjudicate an AOS. Well I imagine that a lot of political heat was generated by this.

Then sometime not long ago USCIS put out a notice that they would be posting the ANTICIPATED processing times unless a location was beyond the ANTICIPATED processing times. Apparently the ANTICIPATED processing time for an I-485 is six months. So unless an office is exceeding the ANTICIPATED processing times the ANTICIPATED is what will be posted.

Another anomaly is the processing times regressing. This happens if they find older applications that have slipped through the system or they reassign cases to another office. They must show the oldest application. The timelines are frustrating to say the least.
