Hello everybody, please i need some serious advice..

I am a F1 visa holder, planning to get married to a USC.

Few details about me:

1 ) I first enter the Usa last february and studied for 6 months in a program;

2 ) I have been granted a short vacation, went back to my country for 10 days and returned to the US with a new I-20 for a different program that will terminate in 12 months. Actually, this will end as soon as i get accepted to a doctorate program i would like to get in.

3 ) I have been living with my partner since I first entered the Us and we have been knowing each other for more than 2 years. We have a joint bank account and some bill on both names.

My questions are:

1 ) How does the 30/60 days rule work? Should I count 60 days from my first entry, or from my very last entry.

2 ) Do the facts that we are living together since I first enter the Usa and knowing each other for more than 2 years look suspicious to USCIS ? Could they think that my intention for entering the USA was for getting married and not for studying?

3 ) Would It be better to ask for the adjustment of status while enrolled in a program or it is ok even during the 60 days " grace " period given to F1 students ?

1. This is old wives tale, so ignore it, one of these days I will dig out how it arose.

2. No

3. Why delay?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
