An inquiry will let you know where your case is at. If they tell you it is being reviewed by an agent then you can expect an answer within a couple weeks.

Don't get hung up on the date. All the date means is that is the last case the processed and we all know they don't process in order received. That date has actually gone backwards before. They need to wait to get information from the local consulate before processing a case and some consulates take longer to get the information from. I am sure there are other factors in play too. The date also is used to mark when you can submit an inquiry. If that date is 6-months ago then you need to wait at least 6-months to submit an inquiry.

People in September have got responses. So don't get hung up on that date as being really where they are at. It is simply the last case they processed when they did that update or so they say since the date is really just to let you know the average time it is taking right now and really when you can submit an inquiry they will respond to with information as to what is going on with your case. Keep in mind that they can spend their time responding to inquiries or they can be working the actual cases.

I checked the page every day for an update then my lawyer submitted an inquiry and they said my case was with an officer. Almost two weeks went and again kept checking every day then the one day I didn't check, I got an email saying we were approved. It took about 8 months and a week. If I am not mistaken when we first filed the average processing time was 4-months ... there was no date, they were processing them within the normal 4-month processing time but it kept getting further out dates over that 8-months.

Hang in there!

Thanks everyone! for your support, I wish my husband had a more positive attitude but I cannot blame him. I am trying to keep up the spirit but so afraid for him, depression is hitting him hard. At this point I don't care if i have to pay another medical exam as long it means my family will be together again soon.

Well we've already paid for 2 medical exams. This second time being in March because instead of just answering our I-601 waiver application they sent an RFE for a new medical exam. Its has been 3 weeks since they received our RFE response. The embassy has the new medical results and still not a word from USCIS. Time is ticking away and I get more ticked off everyday. Everyone else gets answers. It feels like we just get more questions.

LionessDeon i am sure yours is getting answer and the best part someone is actually working on it. I am sure it will be soon now, and if they ask for things again then answer it but they will run out of stuff to ask about. LOL! keep hanging in there.

Thank you for your support. I thank God I was able to get away last week for a quick visit. It was a joy and blessing to see him.

Hey guys today an officer called me again and asked me if my husband has done his medical exam. And he asked me to bring it to the local uscis if he did.

Thank GOD.

LionessDeon call the uscis and asked them to transfer you to the officers office when you can speak with a real officer than explan for him the situation they will help you a lot.

Hello everyone God bless, I wanted to thank you all for taking the time of your day to support me in this very hard situation "immigration". At this time I still haven't received an approval or anything from immigration on my case and at this time I believe it doesn't matter anymore. Unfortunately it seems my marriage of 7 years, 4 years separate did not withstand the test of immigration, I have come to the decision that is best my husband and I get divorce.

this is very painful and i figure this would happen after so much hurdles, i am in pain and completely lost. But i have faith that some things happens for the best, at this time i am looking into how i would go about divorce and our children's future. I will keep checking to hear your wounderful news and to be happy for you all, it helps me. So please keep us post it and share good news with us.

i hope you all get good news on your immigration cases.
