Hi everyone I had been reading this blog for a long time, now so I decided to ask this question and join the group cause this journey it's so hard to talk to with folks that aren't in the same situation.

Wafy and I went to the interview March 10 2016 for a cr1 visa, at the beginning everything went well, but the vo ask me if I have or had any problems with the law? And I said no. Cause honestly I didn't remember do to the fact that someone scanned me back then, then she gave me 221g letter and my passport, with the instructions to deposit some documents along with the passport back to the embassy.

When I went to investigate it came out that in 2000 I had a case where someone scan me and got me involved in a misrepresentation trying to go to the USA with the USA passport. I that time I was 21 year old with no experience one so ever so I trusted that guy when he told me that he can get me a visa to go to usa everything legit but that wasn't the case.

The guy told me that we would give me all the documents at the airport. When I went to the front desk I thought everything was normal, but it wasn't normal went I open the package in front of the clear immediately I knew I was in trouble then, they call the authorities and I got arrest, the ask me and I told the hall true I was in detention for 3 days but when I went in front of the judge they determent I was truly scanned, unfortunately I was the one that I got cough with the document, the charged me with misrepresentation with the sentence of 3 months parole do to the fact that they knew I was innocent in some length. After that everything clear up everything was fine in 2002 I had a partition for k1 visa with it was granted I that time for the consulate with no problem. When I got to usa with in of couple of months my girlfriend left me for some else so I didn't married her, I met some real special and we got married in 2003 we have to kids we got our own house, I'm working on the same job since 2004, her parents are orderly with lots of health complication we are a pretty stable family so that was the reason they approve me with the 601a waiver.. I had returned everything they consulate ask me on March 23 with are my chances to get my visa approval by the vo?

Thank you all for taking the time of reading my situation.

John, July 29 received date is mine too,my number end with 37 and every other number around it was approved long time ago,so i think CIMT take longer. But Souad it could not be so hard to fined out if your husband was ever married, they just need to ask you for a certificate from your registry to state how many times he,ve been married.

The 27th, 28th and 29th they received 146 Waiver Request (i601). As of today 117 have been acted on and there are still 29 sitting in Received Status.

52 Approved

44 RFE

21 Misc. and rejected for not being signed/wrong fees/bad address

29 Still in Received status

I am seeing people post in places that had a receive date in August that they have got responses/approvals already. I am guessing we should hear something this week or next week.

John that sound good, but i heard that some September already gotten approvals. I dont understand the visa categories, can someone explain, wife file for husband what category is that CR-I K-I K-2, i dont know.

IR1 = Immediate Relative - Spouse if married longer than 2 years or immediate children

CR1 = Conditional Residence - If Married less than 2 Years to spouse

If you have been married over two years when entering country then you will be granted Permanent Residency for 10 years if under 2 years then Permanent Residency status is for 2 years.

K1 - Fiance

K2 - Child of K1

K3 - Spouse (allows spouse to enter country while waiting for approval - not sure of all the requirements for this but hear not many done .. technically I think a nonimmigrant visa )

K4 - Child of K3

It went to the lawyer and to my fiancé in Jamaica. It's difficult to know exactly when because my lawyer moved her office and it had to be forwarded. I saw the RFE on the USCIS case tracker the evening of 2/11/16. By 2/22/16 my lawyer had the forwarded letter in her new office.

Only the person the waiver is for and the lawyer will receive the letter. Try not to worry too much. I'm sure whatever they need you'll be able to furnish. It could be something very simple like a signature or something.

I would think the letter should be received very soon.

Hi - Did your lawyer give you an idea of how long it typically takes them to rule on an RFE once they receive the reply from you?
