Just a heads up that might be useful to some of you. My I-601 was approved on September 8. I'm outside of the US but my son in Florida got the approval by mail yesterday, a few days behind because of

On june 24th it has been 14months exactly for the 601 and still nothing. the 212 is another 10 more days before it hits the 14month mark. Its so cruel and unfair to be punished like this due to a stup

Congrats. Did your status change to approved the uscis website? I spoke to the embassy in Costa Rica yesterday. Everything is ready. They contacted the uscis requesting the approval. They are just waiting for them. My husband completed his medical and has a new police certificate. The embassy told me they will call my husband the minute they get that email. Of course the embassy is closed tomorrow and Thursday. Open Friday.

So when is your appointment?

The notification came in the regular mail. We have to send in the updated police record and tax records then we will have our appointment. We requested an expedited with the consulate so her visa should be issued the first week of January.

The status never changed on the USCIS tracker page. Still says "We received your case on.....". The Consulate has been in contact with the NSC so they got word on Friday that the waiver was approved. Cannot believe this is finally happening!!!

Wow, that's awesome!! The embassy told us They are waiting for email confirmation of the waiver approval. They have everything ready on their end. I got a notification that our status changed on the uscis website at around 11:30am EST, but when I checked the status page, nothing has changed. I hope that means the uscis sent the dang email. Sooooooooo close yet so far
