that's good to know. i don't trust much any mailing systems unless its courier mail. hopefully soon for u and not sure why my ceac is changing dates so much without any instruction

Thanks ....We both get our instruction letter soon...its just Embassy processing system. Every time they open our file on their system it shows different date.

I also would check the ceac website all the time until my lawyer advised me not to tht it is just for general information? How much that is true I do not know but I can tell you tht the website was very misleading in my case. After we submitted our passport and medical I would check it and one day it said ready for another interview and I was like what the heck the lawyer didn't say anything about that.

We went back to Juarez last week to complete another medical then after we received the results we took the medicals and passports to the DHL office in Juarez then flew back to TJ where my fiancée lives. The consulate received everything the day after we sent it and the CEAC website updated the date but still showed refused. Today it says "READY" but mentions the process for a new interview. I was like ####### but after checking around found out that the message is generic for the "READY" status. I'm hoping that it will show issued in a few days. My plan is to go to MX to pick up my fiancée and her daughter next weekend so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is sent by the end of this week. In anycase, we are almost there.

Congrats on your visa!! I saw you had your interview on 5/15/15 same day as us in ciudad Juarez! ? I saw you needed to send your medical exam and passport but did you need to redo them or did you just send your original medical exam??

We had to re do them the instruction letter said it (medical exam) was only good for 3-6 months.

Congrats I know this process is so horrible. Thank you for keeping us posted more people need to post their experiences bc I went into this journey 3 yrs ago without any information. I know tht with us once the visa was issued our lawyer provided the DHL tracking # so we knew exactly when to go pick it up. I will try to update you guys on the port of entry process as soon as I can. Stay strong and best of luck!

If your passport expires in August of this year you should go ahead and renew it. Passports have to be good for at least 6 months past the date you enter the U.S. If you do update it you will have to provide your new passport number to the consulate which the website says you can do.

Yes I agree! I had no idea what to expect but thankfully now I have some sort of idea of what's next. Hopefully I'll have a wonderful ending to come back and share too!

Need Advice pls!

Embassy emailed my lawyer the instruction letter asking for medical and filled out ds 260 form with passport. Now i can submit all documents except my passport because i am not sure how long are they going to take to issue visa and i must have to travel this month out of country.

Will it be ok or done be anyone to not submit passport when they ask, is it ok with them? if they can guarantee the issuance of visa within few days then i would but like with most males are placed in AP, i am hesitant to give them passport at the moment because i have to travel very soon. Pls need ur advice!

I think if u dont submit the passport will delay your visa..... but other side its not gurranttee to issue the visa soon either.

yeah ur right but at the same time i need surety that they will issue visa in few days because i really must travel for my university purpose by this month. Perhaps i should submit all documents and not passport but a letter stating why i have not submitted passport. If they still request it then i think it is clear they are gonna stamp visa. Hmm lets see

RFE sorry. RFIs are what we do at work when we need more info.

I just searched the other case #s for waivers submitted in the same day as ours. 2 approvals, 3 others received RFEs, 6 others still just say received. So they are definitely working on August now.

Did they? I was so busy I didn't have time to check. There's approximately a dozen waiver's that I found that were submitted on August 4 like ours. 2 for approved. 3 got RFE + ours. They others still just say received.

I found one submitted 7-31 that still says received too. So yea they def do not go in date order. Our is also a CIMT waiver as well.

Feeling happy that someone has looked at our waiver packet but feeling anxious about what they could possibly need. Is it strange that four of us got RFEs?

Not strange. When I received my rfe. There were 4 others around mines with rfes. Mines and three ended up approved one was denied. Mine wanted more info. It wasn't specific and was more general. We sent in more info on the hardship and it was approved ten days after they received it. Some the other rfes response was longer. One was a month after received. Good luck
