Dear friends.

I hope there will be someone who could help me to get clear understanding with my situation regarding my waiver of the ground of ineligibility.

I am a Beneficiary, citizen of Ukraine and live in Ukraine right now and my fiancée (Petitioner) is from USA.
On March 16, 2015 I had an interview at the US Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine for K-1 visa.
After checking my documents and conducting interview which went more that good, unfortunately Consul officer could not give me a visa because of certain circumstances (section 212 (a) (2) (i) (1)). He gave me document allowing applying for a waiver of the ground of ineligibility, kept our documents and left the case opened. My passport was returned to me.

I’ve sent my Form I-601 and all necessary documents to my fiancée to USA so she could redirect it to the office of USCIS Phoenix Lockbox (it was delivered on March 30, 2015).
I have some questions about this situation and a whole process.

What USCIS office works with Ukrainians? How long could it take for the USCIS final decision on my petition?
Our case expires in the beginning of June, what should I do if there will not be decision made till that time?
When my I-601 will be approved what should I do next?
Do I have to pay again be visa fee?

Thank you very much! God bless!

you I-601 will go to NSC. You will receive a LIN number.

If you received your notice of inadmissibility this month, then you have 1 year from March before your petition expires.

Time varies. It can be anywhere from 4 months - 18 months if your case is seriously complicated.

Okay. From Arizona it will go to the correct office that will adjudicate your waiver.

It was routed to the USCIS Nebraska Service Center for processing.

Any info how fast/good/smooth is it?

they all get routed to the Nebraska Service Center. Currently I see the waivers getting approved in about 4 months. It could be much longer and of course it is possible to squeak by in less time. Nothing is written in stone when you are dealing with the USCIS.

Then I'm not sure what you mean by "it will go to the correct office that will adjudicate your waiver" if they all go to Nebraska :(

Are there any chances for expediting? Where I can call or email for that? What reasons should be for asking to expedite?

It depends on how good your waiver is and your hardships.

My waiver was received 08/28/2014 and approved 01/06/2015. Smooth, no RFEs.
