Just a heads up that might be useful to some of you. My I-601 was approved on September 8. I'm outside of the US but my son in Florida got the approval by mail yesterday, a few days behind because of

On june 24th it has been 14months exactly for the 601 and still nothing. the 212 is another 10 more days before it hits the 14month mark. Its so cruel and unfair to be punished like this due to a stup

Yes, he does. But I was thinking I have to take it on interview. And he is saying I shouldn’t, because they have ability to approve visa. But they don’t have ability to approve the waiver.

I’m sorry I just don’t understand?

Putting a waiver together in not a quick process so having it ready is good.

 

Goes to the lockbox, not the Consulate.

When you apply for a I601A you have to have your appt in your home country mine is Mexico so I had my interview in Juarez. 

The blue sheet they gave me were instructions on what to do next which was file a new waiver for inadmisibility I601

Thanks. What is better send it directly to Phoenix, or through lockbox?

That’s wierd. You file 601A for have an ability to stay in US during process. But for interview you have to leave and there they say you need different waiver.

Ok, I was talking to my lawyer he is saying. That my initial priority date with USCIS works for waiver 601 as well. And that is the reason it won’t take me so long to get the result on waiver. Does it make sense?

Actually I want to complain a little bit. My officer at a consulate was really mean today. She was screaming. At the end started to smile /suddenly/ I guess from pleasure of refusing my visa😕

Waivers do not have priority dates.

Well according to my lawyer your initial I-130 petition had priority date as a date of filling. And this date USCIS keeps throughout the whole process. And this is the date they will based on for my waiver.
