Calling isn't going to hurt anything. That's how I found out the embassy didn't have my original petition.

How long does it take for an expedite request to be approved or at least an answer...... anyone???????

We requested an expedite Sept 5th, lawyer called for status and then told us it was denied....we didn't trust the lawyer so we called late September...USCIS told us it was NOT denied and that they sent a letter to the lawyer asking for the documentation. We didn't hear anything so we called Oct 27th and were told the expedite request was approved On October 15th. So our waiver approval was December 17th. They won't send anything saying the request was approved. You should call the USCIS and check on the service request that you placed to request the expedite. They are supposed to make a decision within 15 days of approving the expedite request but we are proof that isn't always the case.

Ours was about 4 months with the holidays they received our package October 14 2014 and was approved February 22 we also did not get anything saying that the expedite was accepted or denied we just got approved.

yep, we had to call to find out . I also got the senator's office involved. They sent an inquiry about the expedite. Actually, now that I think about it... It was an email form the Senator's office letting us know the expedite request was approved. Then we called the USCIS. I got the Senator's office involved because our lawyer wasn't worth a poop and it was a pain in the rear to call the USCIS with my husband on the line in Costa Rica. The hold time was always 200 minutes.

Ask your Senator's office to send an inquiry. Its quick and easy

My wife required a 212 waiver, sent yesterday to Puerto Rico with an expedite request. Now we wait.

Just curious, why was it sent to Puerto Rico? Also, you'll still have to call and request an expedite when you get your receipt Notice. It could be forever before someone looks at your file and see your request.

Why was it sent to PR she got deported from there huh?

Lone 212 takes 2-12 mths but not a harsh climb as i601

Ok so this our long story..... in Feb. 2010 a sheriff stopped my husband took him to jail.. he then was taken in by immigration and they didn't release him until a week later so by then he had voluntary departure..... we went to his first court and the judge said he needed an attorney by his next court so he was in courts with immigration until Feb. 2012 his last court the judge said he had until June 2 2012 to depart to mexico.....so he did..... he then had his interview in mexico on April 14 2014 they told him to fill out a waiver and we got the notice that they received his waiver June 27 2014 so in Oct my attorney sent in an expedite request because of our sons health and til this day we haven't heard anything.... so my question is because it was a voluntary departure is that why they are taking sooo long???? I've tried everything contacting the senator nothing has worked and im getting tired of wating... any one please????????

When I asked my lawyer to request an expedite, the lawyer called the USCIS a week later and said that the expedite was denied. My husband and I called the USCIS Because we just were tired of the lawyers cr@p. The USCIS told us the expedite request was not denied and that they sent a notice requesting the expedite request be submitted in writing. So I had to go back to the lawyer and beg thenm to send the request in writing along with my written explanation and evidence. It took a week for the lawyer to fax the info to the USCIS. After that, we didn't hear anything for the longest time about a month so we called on October 29th. The USCIS told us that the expedite request was approved on October 15th. It took 2 months from the expedite approval to get the waiver approval. We got the senator's office involved. Our original expedite request was called in September 5th. I suggest you call on your own and bypass the lawyer. Your expedite request might be approved. The senator's office can find out if your file has been assigned to an officer. Good luck
