If he has been out of the country longer than the ban then I don know why you would need to file the waivers, and there are no exceptions for the waiting period unless its a medical necessity or the other few conditions defined by them on their website.

I assumed he was 9C, 10 years before he could file a waiver.

OMG, i’m in the same situation as you. I don’t understand why i60a  takes 4-6 months and i212 and i601 takes 14 months when they now our partners are out of country. Shouldn’t it be the opposite. I think they do all this, for the process to take longer so people can gove up and leave the country.

They do this because 1.they don't give a dam about anyone but themselves. 2.they want to discourage immigrants from coming to usa because the are racists and skin heads like the president. 3.there is no proper management or supervision as you would have in a private company like amazon or others!

So they are skin heads and racists but give illegals preferential service?

This is not right, you should not generalize. There are laws here like in every other country and people need to follow laws. If everyone here are racist, then why do people still want to come.

Same boat here...My waiver cost me $6000 and some.  I am so frustrated and tired of waiting.

My spouse waiver cost $0..... I did all by myself with no help from any lawyer. All I did was research the web at each stage and learnt all I needed to do from people’s past experiences.

It never costs $0, you still have to pay $1000 for each app and a 601 n 212 is like $2000. Why cant they hire 2 more people to help process the apps? If you look at there quaterly score card they are reporting like 30 apps/month... not like 30,000 apps/month. so if you raise the price and you want to help the economy then would it not make sense to hir at least 2 more people to help the process???

Why do we need to suffer and pay such a high price for following the law when the processing time used to be 4 to 4 months and at a cost of $500 per app.... Now they just treat us like garbage with no respect. If someone is already married and their spouse has NO criminal or terrorist record then why not let them in on a temporary visa while these bastards are taking their time? What is the problem??/ Maybe with some cases you cannot do that, but their are probably so many you could!

Talking about lawyer, of course you will pay for the waiver but I did not pay a lawyer to help out was what I meant.

Yes you will pay for the waiver but I did not pay a lawyer to help out with the filing and was what I meant when I said I spent $0.....

As per you calling the immigration officers handling the cases bastards, that is not fair these people are doing their job just like anyone else. I guess you do not know how long it takes for a background check to be done that is why you are raining insults on them.

Trust me when I say I know how tedious it is to do a background check for someone who is a USC not to talk about someone who is born outside of the U.S and not a USC. I work for DHS and my spouse is going through the process like anyone else.

I think you need to calm down and pray you get approved instead ranting!!!!!

When you apply for I-130,  background checks done are minimal because I-130 approval is just for relationship purposes. Then you apply for the immigrant visa additional checks are done for mostly public charge purposes and other purposes. At the time of your interview checks are still on going and if any anomaly comes up then you get the ban and checks stop. when you get waiver approved checks continue and goes more indebt due to anomaly has been found earlier and also current situations of country of applicant.

A lot goes into these processes behind the scene and it is not easy for the IAs because if any mistake happens and is found in the future they may be held liable.
