My husband just got today a RFE his waiver date is Jan 12 2017. It still gives us hope is not an approval but at least he didn't got denied.
Does somebody know the what are possibilities  to get denied after sending the extra evidence? How long is taking to get an answer? And Do they ask for things complicated to get as extra evidence?

Tried that twice with two separate congressmen still nothing happened but it did help some people though so you can try.

I don't think anything will happen if we are not past our received date.  Have seen that some Jan & Feb 2017 got approved or REF. Hopefully it will go faster.

What was asked for RFE? If you don't mind me asking? What was your waiver for?

My experience is ...........

Submitted I-601 on December 29, 2016 ........

Had multiple last updates which meant nothing really.....

I-601 waiver approved March 23, 2018....

U.S Consulate instruction email received April 3, 2018..... (said to resubmit DS-260, Medical and Police report... Not need for appoint, just do a walk in with copy of email from consulate)

Hoping to get all done and visa in hand by next week.

Good luck as you await yours.

Instructions was sent via email from the embassy in Nigeria.

Below are sections of the email from the embassy....

"Your waiver application has been approved and we are in receipt of the notice of approval. You please visit www.state.gov to re-submit the online Form DS-260 before appearing for the interview as the previous immigrant visa application is expired."

"You should also update your medical and police report."

"Once you have completed the DS260 and obtained a new police/medical report you may return to the US Consulate any day Monday through Thursday (except U.S and Nigerian holidays), from 7:00am-10:00am for oath taking. You must bring a copy of this email, your international passport and your police/medical report."

"***CGI GREETERS: PLEASE ADMIT THE BEARER OF THIS EMAIL.***"
