It's a very frustrating situation but we must remain calm or else it gets a lot worse. Were you able to submit a service request on Feb. 17th or did they deny it because they changed the processing dates?

No I wasn't able to request a service request. Since it had just changed I figured I would wait a while when I went in to make the request I saw the times had chaged. It is very frustrating, but your right we have to remain clam.

Yes, you should contact the embassy.  They are the ones to give instruction on what is next.  USCIS approves the waiver and notifies the embassy.  The embassy then finishes the process of visa issuance.

I am not sure why they keep referring you back to USCIS unless they have not received their copy of the NOA2 I-601 waiver approval notice.  I would ask them if they have received the waiver approval notice yet, and even send them a scanned copy.

Our embassy did not send another packet.  They just sent us an email of what updated documents to bring and gave us an appointment date.

You're welcome!

Hi there, I wanted to know what types of evidence you submitted for the waiver to show examples of extreme hardship.  Both of us are now in China so I'm thinking hardships could be that he has his whole family and friends back in America and he misses them, or the language barrier makes life in China hard for him, and any other hardships that you would recommend we use to show extreme hardship so that our waiver can be approved?  Appreciate any advice.
