SHERNANDEZ1,

My husband and I were also in Juarez last October (2015). My husband's I-601A wavier (applying while he was in the USA) was approved before we entered Mexico...we thought everything was ok, but when he was interviewed they sent him to see a therapist because he had a DUI in 2008. They asked him several questions about his drinking and asked if he drives after consuming alcohol. Being honest he said yes...then was denied re-entry on the basis that he was a threat to US Citizens and their property. We, and our attorney, assume he was denied because of continued drinking and driving (even when staying under the legal limit). I returned home later in October while he remained in Mexico with his family. March of this year we filed the I601. He was advised through the dreaded "blue papers" to receive another medical exam this September (this appears on page 112 of this thread - you can read after that point to see what happened up to the point of approval OR under my name it shows I have a timeline, click on that and you can see other important dates during the process).

Good luck to you, and thanks everyone for the congratulations :goofy:

I think Jonando had a I601 date of March 18th. Congrats to Jonando and her family!

Our date is April 20th and as of today no news. Been waiting for almost 8 months and nothing starting to get real frustrating! What is your date? Prayers for everyone going through the process.

Hi, our date was April 22, 2016 2 days after yours. I have not heard anything yet. So still waiting :(

Hey guys, my fiancé went to her K1 interview yesterday, but unfortunately was told that she needs a waiver for her fraud and misrepresentation. This is definitely the worst news for this holiday season. We feel so defeated and frustrated right now. We have consulted a lawyer who told us we should file both K3 and waiver. Just wondering is there anyone here is doing a waiver along with K1 visa? Our concern is whether filing a new k3 will extend our waiting time much longer? Any idea is appreciated!

Any March 2016 approvals??

According to the website, they are still working on March 16, 2016. Seems like they haven't accomplished much since October. My date is April 2016 and I'm starting to get desperate.

Hi my wife was a K1 and we had to file 601 and 212 waivers for the same reason. I am the USC and had a legitimate hardship for the 601 and we were successful. Why did your lawyer tell you to file for a K3? If you are trying to immigrate your foreign fiancée you shouldn't have to file a K3, just the waiver. You will probably have to do both the 601 and 212 waivers which take some time but it is possible to be successful.

Hope this helps.

Hey guys, yes I am tracking a lot of beginning of March cases and there are still a ton of them. Many have been approved but there are still many left. Just keep your faith in this, we all get answers eventually. The holiday season really slowed down the processing but yesterday seemed to be full of approvals. The most I've seen in a single day in months. Hope they continue at that pace. Good luck! If you aren't already part of the facebook group for the I601 waivers, you should join. There are a few of us who post updates every day on cases approved. https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheI601WaiverJourney/

My husband's I-601 waiver was accepted July 29, 2014 @ Nebraska. Since it was for my husband's waiver, USCIS cannot give me an update over the phone. They said that my husband has to call, but he is in the Philippines. Tis is so frustrating and by reading the thread on waivers, it gives us a little hope. Is there anyone here knows what the current processing date is? I'm not sure who to believe, someone posted an approval on a June acceptance and many are waiting longer than that. Any feedback will be highly appreciated. Thank you all.

Hi there,

My fiancé and I have been waiting since April 2016. I have called few times but I get the same answer that he has to call back. If you look at their chart and processing times. They are currently processing cases as of March 2016 for Nebraska center. I know its frustrating to wait. Its been 10 months for us now. We have been following the chart closely and it seems they do it month by month. So if you turned yours in June, you probably have at least another 6 months to wait :(. Also when you call their customer service  they use the same chart so you can't even submit an inquiry about your case.. I know. My fiancé and I will called them  in a month or so if we don't hear anything. Hopefully they are true to their processing times. Good luck.

I am right there with you! We also turned ours in April. It seems they get slow around holidays. Hopefully in the next month or so we all hear some news.
