Happyfaces,

I just arrived home, and read your recent posts...I am so sorry things have turned out poorly for you and your family. I wish I had a magic answer for you to make the situation right, but I don't. I will say that I am praying for you and your family every morning and every night...that goes for everyone on this site. Hope things get better soon. Have you tried Catholic Charities? I know here in Louisville, KY they have attorneys that work immigration cases pro bono (for free for those who cannot afford an attorney)...try to look them up in your area...good luck!

Next week will be 8 months of waiting for my wife's I601.
Today I finally submitted a request on USCIS's website for a status update, since it is taking longer than normal. The automatic system said to wait 3 weeks for a response!!! And from you guys are saying, that response will simply say "wait another few months!!"

OMG! The system is broken! All we want to do is make things right and get my wife her green card.

If its been 6 months or since you submitted your waiver, you will definetly get a faster response if you contact your congress person.

Sorry or more than 6 months

Hi Everyone,

I filed my I601 and USCIS sent me a receipt that it was received Sept.2, 2014. It;s been 20 months and I'm still waiting. Is there anyone here that filed around the same time and still waiting. I did inquiry, info pass, etc. but they just kept saying they will give me a call. Thank you

Something doesn't sound right. That is way past processing times. Waivers filed September 2015 are receiving decisions. Has your lawyer checked into it? Have you contacted your congressman?

Oh yes. I know exacly how you feel. The consulate and USCIS refuse to communicate on our waiver and there USCIS will not respond to the waiver because they say its not needed. Consulate insists it is so we are at at stand off. The only one who pays the price is me and my fiance. Our only option left is a law suit.
