Russell & Maria .... if you have to send them by mail they let you do your medical exam at any location as long as its a clinic approved by them I'm living in Mexico city and I did it here and actually its totally different than the one in Juarez... service is sooooooo much better... good luck :dancing:

Wow, thanks for the info Karenberna. That is good news because I know that we will be past the 6 months by the time the waiver is hopefully approved. My fiancée lives in Tijuana so having to book another trip to go back to Juarez just for her and her daughter to go to a medical exam would be a pain in the ###. Congrats on your approval.

Hello,

I don't know where else to ask, will try here.

I was at IV interview today, got my refusal worksheet, but only at home saw that only "Section 212a9 - Ordered removed" is checked, while "You are eligible to apply for a waiver of the grounds of ineligibility" is not checked. Consular officer told me that I can file those waivers, and I came to that interview to get refusal letter and to proceed to I-601-212 filing.

What should I do now? I have sent an email to embassy asking if it's a mistake. Can i file I-601 even though that field is not check-marked? (about eligibility to file).

Thanks

Thanks MJ ....

BCMARY you should call because its been a long time since u sent your papers and you should at least have a receipt number ...

KIT10DOG my Visa was denied too when I went to my interview but my lawyer advice me to make sure to have the blue sheet marked down with the waiver I601 because without it there´s no way to apply for a waiver unless they ask you to do so .... try to call USCIS 1800 3755283 or NVC 603 3340700 and see if they can give u some information and good luck :dancing:

Has anyone had any luck with the 601 waiver for Mexico? My husband had his appointment December 31 in Mexico, and still no word on anything. I tried to check his status online, and they said his lin#was not found but when I try his mep # it is found and updates from time to time saying refused. I talked to our attorney, and they said that was just the process. Anyone else having the same problem? And I tried to call the Visa Center and I have to have him on the line to verify anything, and I am the petitioner for my husband. It is all so confusing..
