our interview is coming up and i need to get a letter from my employer to give to my fiance to take to the interview. my question is, what should the letter say? please help!

also, if i am going to attend the interview with my fiance, do i still have to write a letter of intent to marry him>?

how long you been working there, your position, pay (if you don't mind) and address.

The employer letter would be on the company letterhead and state the nature of employment (permanent/contract), date of joining and the salary.

Regarding the letter of intent, yes you would need to provide it. Also, you said you're attending the interview with your fiance. The Mumbai consulate does not allow you to enter the Consulate with your fiance, she will be going in on her own. I'm not sure about Delhi.

First off, thanks so much for replying to all my posts. New Delhi allows the petitioner to attend the interview - trust me, i made sure checking on this multiple times before booking my ticket to fly out lol - So you're saying even though i will be attending, i should still write a letter of intent? doesn't it seem too redundant?

Redundant maybe, but do not take any risk with the consular officers. Also, even though you're attending in person, it is not a proof that would enter their records, the hardcopy letter will.
