Our system of government is adversarial by design. If Republicans disagree with the executive's policy initiatives, why in God's name should they vote for it? And why would Democrats expect them to?

The executive refusing to respond to a subpoena in a timely and transparent manner is an entirely different matter. That's obstruction of justice.

As I've said before: I seriously doubt if there's a "smoking gun" to be found leading to White House involvement in the IRS thing; I think there are so many kookaid drinkers who've been put in positions of authority in the administration that they're happy to do the preznit's bidding, even without being told to do so. Target conservatives? Done!

It looks more and more though that the coverup on IRS wrongdoing leads higher up. A little "transparency" sure would come in handy right about now...

Nonsense. Again: if an executive advances poorly-written, poorly thought-out legislation, why should the Republicans vote for it? It's not in their constituents' interest. Obamacare's a perfect example: even the Democrats rue having passed it.

You don't think AG Holder's "contempt of Congress" conviction for not cooperating with Congressional inquiries looks bad? I think that amounts to obstruction of justice. As does most of this fishy IRS story as well: Oh, it's just 2 rogue employees in Cincinnati; oh, there were no backups of the emails; oh, the backups were destroyed (*after* the investigation began!); oh, there ARE backups, but we (the IRS) think it's too "onerous" to look through them. Obstruction of justice; pure and simple.

Deafening Silence on Obama IRS Scandal Developments

The nation’s top television news broadcasts - in both English and Spanish - have been entirely mum on the latest revelations related to alleged obstruction of justice and politically-directed abuse of power at the Obama administration’s Internal Revenue Service.

Whether at ABC, CBS and NBC, or Univision, Telemundo and Mundo Fox, these networks to date have essentially censored the admission by a U.S. Justice Department official –revealed by government watchdog group Judicial Watch – that allegedly lost e-mails of Obama IRS official Lois Lerner are in fact accessible, through the federal government’s computer back-up system.

As Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton told Fox News, which has been the only major network to report on these developments, “there are no ‘missing’ Lois Lerner emails, nor missing emails of any of the other top IRS or other government officials…the Obama administration has known all along where the email records could be, but dishonestly withheld this information.”

Fitton said his group will continue to fight in court the Obama Justice Department’s allegation that “it would be too onerous” for the federal government to search its back-up, continuity-of-operations computer system for the missing emails.

I'm sure it is all very important but I'll confess this is how I read it:

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Regulatory Affairs Subcommittee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) today sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder reiterating bipartisan blah bleep blaaaahhh brrr.. boring .. why do they scrunch the paragraphs together like that? whats with the red text? congressman.. mip mippper possible abuse in... what am I reading? I'm not taking any meaning from these words.. I'll just skip to the comments.. ah.. jibber jabber. I'll just to FF the end and start typing and hope something comes to mind.
