Hey guys,

I had my k1 interview august 21st at 8am. Status on CEAC was administration processing from that date until yesterday (September 26th) to issued. My question is how long will I have to wait to receive email from embassy to collect my passport? I live in London and collection point is east london. I really need my passport and was wondering if anyone has an idea!?

Most say about 2 days, but nothing is standard. Not many pick up at the depot but I recall one saying that when you get the email, it is already at the depot.

We have just had a bank holiday weekend, so nothing would really have happened until yesterday I think.
I got an email yesterday at 4pm saying my passport and BBE (which is actually white) would be ready to collect today, so what Nick said is more or less correct.
I'd expect the email tomorrow for a pick up on Friday latest.

Hi, Matthias! I had my interview on the same date and at same time as you. I'm in the same boat! I have already purchased my flight to LAX for this Sunday since my interviewer at the embassy promised me I'll have the passport by the end of this week. So we gotta get that email on Thursday (tomorrow)!!! I got such a sweet deal on my flight, would hate to miss it!

Beefheart, does the CEAC status ever change again after issued? When the courier has your passport or when you pick it up? Thank you!

Once they hand it over to the courier, it is no longer in their system to update. Case has left the building.

The courier keeps up with where it is and when it is picked up at that point.

Once handed over to you, nobody is tracking it until you hand it over to the Department of Homeland Security (CBP at airport)... A totally different piece of the government and a different computer system than the Department of State (embassy).
