It's called common sense, you either have it or you don't.

Ahem, not quite. Common sense implies that the majority of people would possess it. UNCOMMON sense, on the other hand, is for the chosen few who remain out of the grasp of Darwin... :)

It doesn't escape me. But I was 7 when I got my first rifle. Single-shot .22, and taught how to handle it by my grandfather. By the ripe old age of 8, I was out in the woods by myself hunting rabbits and squirrels for dinner. Age is not necessarily a disqualifier. The gun was not a smart choice, not if what I heard was true (that is WAS a full-auto Uzi). Though the news video claimed that, it did not show her firing at all, so hard to say.

Check this out.

Unless you know a way of regulating idiots, the focus has to be on the gun.

One way seems to be letting them instruct kids on full-auto weapons. Darwin and Murphy tend to win, in the long run...

You're correct. The human element is the variable. The only constant is the gun. Present in every incident relating to GSW.

Correct. Same with space travel. The only constant is a space vehicle.

Several mistakes made, and he paid for them with his life. Tragic, to be sure. Poor girl will have to live with that forever. May never touch another gun in her life. Sorry for her.

This sentence wins the world. Congratulations.

There is a Hispanic History Month ? I know February is black history month, because, I saw the protests that it was racism cause they got the shortest and coldest month of the year.

If property was was months, February would be the heart of the hood. There is not one Darn Holiday in the whole month in which normal (i.E your butt doesn't work for the Govt or a bank) gets a day off. There is less daylight than any month of the year. It's also the coldest month of the year. If Months could be a part of the hog July would be the ham and February would be the Foot.. Strike that. January would be the foot and February would be intestines.

Look at this .. It's so obvious that picking Feb is racist. Let's pick the most crime infested shat hole in the whole town and name it MLK, then Let's pick the one month nobody looks forward to and give it to black people.

Jan-New Years

Feb-Zilch nothing

March-St Pattty's day. Lets get drunk for white people.

April--Easter

May-Memorial day

June -Schools out lets go to the beach

July-July 4th

Aug- Hey it's still summer right, but football starts

Sep- Labor day

Oct- Halloween/

Nov-Thanksgiving

Dec-Christmas

I think we should give them July.. Who is with me .. One observation. If you say July real fast it sounds like..It's a lie

Sure about that???

Ever hear of 22 December? :sleepy:

No I don't have a freaking clue to be honest

I was guessing that since it has 2 fewer days than most months and 3 fewer than some, it was bound to have less total hours of sunlight, even if Jan's 31 days were a few minutes shorter.

Now if you mean is the AVG day shorter, no. Total number of hours between BMNT and EENT for the whole month, ??? I would assume so

In the past decade, the number of college grads who can interpret a food label has fallen from 40 percent to 30 percent. An American child is six times more likely to know who won American Idol than the name of the Speaker of the House. (For more bad news, see the sidebar on page 59.) Reading and writing scores both fell on the 2008 SATs. Not long ago, a high-school teacher in California handed out an assignment that required students to use a ruler — and discovered not a single one of them knew how.

What in the world is going on with our kids?

Bring the subject up in any group of parents around Philadelphia, and you’ll hear the same thing: Children today seem, well, dumber than they used to. They don’t know the most basic stuff: who fought against whom in World War II, how many pints are in a quart, and in Jake’s case, the days of the week. (He’s shaky on the months, too.) They may be taking every AP and Honors course their schools offer, but they can’t tell you who invented pasteurization. (They do know who invented Facebook, because they saw the movie The Social Network.)http://www.phillymag.com/articles/feature-is-it-just-us-or-are-kids-getting-really-stupid/

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

But just the black and Hispanic kids are dumber, right? The superior race WASP Republican kids are still smart?

There's usually only 2 variables in these events, an idiot and a gun. We can make the idiot the focal point, but it ultimately leads to the question - why do so many idiots have guns?

Unless you know a way of regulating idiots, the focus has to be on the gun.

Sums it up very nicely!

And whenever someone is killed in a car accident, a car is present! Wow! Guns are present when people get shot. I'm seeing a pattern here.

Dave, you being taught to use a rifle at a young age is fine. Being allowed to shoot an Uzi at age 9 with little to no former training, is ridiculous! Some folks here seem to think it's just fine for a 9 year old girl to be firing an Uzi.
