what % black is your neat little oh so politically correct corner of the world again.?

My area is not "oh so politically correct" simply because I don't interact with people who make racist statements.

I'm sure there are plenty of racists here. I'm sure there are plenty of racists back home in a very multicultural city that I spent 27 of my 30 years of life in. Guess what, I didn't interact with them there either.

You choose what kind of people you spend time with. I don't spend time with people who would make the stupid statement that LIB did.

We don't allow kids to drive a vehicle until the age of 16, join the military or vote until 18, or drink alcohol until the age of 21, but some here think it's perfectly fine for a 9 year old to be shooting an Uzi.

Makes perfect sense to me.

The decision to let the girl fire an Uzi falls squarely on the parents, they paid the instructor to show her how. Are you suggesting the government get more involved in telling parents how to raise their kids?

The instructor committed a couple of gross errors (not standing behind the girl to brace and guide her) and not keeping a hand over the gun to prevent what happened from happening. Not familiar with an Uzi to know if there is a burst fire selector or not; if so, THAT would have been the way to go.

And you know darn good and well kids drive before 16 in many cases (I was driving alone by the age of 8, on a farm), kids can join the military at 17, and how many parents actually allow their kids to drink before 21? LOTS that I know of.

Not just that - if falling standards of literacy and numeracy are a problem, why is he suggesting that kids skip straight to guns?

I believed our ancestors left your country years ago to escape the very tyranny you seem comfortable with. Hence, we had neat things like gun education and indoor shooting ranges in school back in them days. And no one was hurt. There weren't a metric #######-ton of shootings. What changed? Guns? Nope.

Humans did.

I'm going to let you do your own research on that. You ask for way too many freebies in one day.

But I'll give you a hint: Uzis were about as trendy back then as sagsters...

It was the go to accessory for the up and coming Miami gangster cocaine dealer. Although it was acceptable to sport a tec-9 or Mac-10. Seems like I had a Mac 10 back in the day.

Its still not as stupid and racially charged as the one about how being a white man today is the same as being black in the 1920s.

I don't think NB realises how massively ignorant, offensive and yes - racist such a statement is.

I can't wait until you say something that's misconstrued. Hopefully he'll bring it up on a daily basis. Maybe he'll even make it his signature.
