Job Offer - EAD pending...

I started my AOS process in the beginning of July. I wasn't actively looking for work, but I was in touch with people in my industry since many of them are friends as well. I was talking to a industry friend, whom lives in the state I moved to (we had met at conferences many times previously) and he is offering me a job.

Based on my timeline of NOA 1 on July 14, I'm thinking that I will be getting my EAD mid Sept. They want me to start ASAP... Do you think if I make a service request with my job offer that they will allow me to expedite my EAD?

Lights, I rang the USCIS mis-information for the first time yesterday to check up on my case. While I was on the line I asked about the possibility of an EAD expedite as I think I could get a job offer quite easily. However the agent said that whilst a job offer would help, I would have to demonstrate that one of the expedite categories applied to me. You can find the categories on the USCIS website but it's mainly for cases of hardship.

Our timelines are nearly the same so I'm watching your case with interest. Lets hope we don't have to wait much longer!

I've been following the June threads and it seems that they've been getting EAD's approved within 2 months. We do have some hardship, considering I still own property back in my home country. I don't know whether or not that would qualify as financial hardship? But would stating financial hardship be counterproductive with AOS? My husband is well above the poverty line, however with owning our own business and having multiple properties we have tried (for months) to sell... it's just been a tough few months.

Call speak to a tier 2 and ask for the EAD to be expedited due to job offer, ask them what you need to send as proof of job offer.

When you called, did they even let you put in a request?

I just called and asked the CSR if my case would be considered and he was very pleasant and said it would be considered but no guarantees that it would be approved. It took a few minutes and he put in a expedite request for me... hoping that when they ask for evidence that it's sufficient.
