Petitioner's Birth Certificate

Hi everyone,

Reading up on Ciudad Juarez's website, I saw that the petitioner (US Citizen in my case) has to provide the original or certified copy of his or her birth certificate (as well as the applicant).

I am the petitioner and have my original birth certificate from 30 years ago. My question is this: has anyone who has interviewed at CDJ been told that their original is no good because it's too old or something to that effect??

I was born in El Salvador so obtaining a certified copy is not that easy or fast and if I can avoid having to order a new one, that would be awesome! I just don't want anything to delay the process.

I said I had my original and was asking if I needed to get a certified copy. Thanks for your response though, you are right, there shouldn't be an issue.
