You are submitting a copy of both your driver's licenses to show that you live at the same address. Expiry does not matter.

Adjustment of Status from H-1B, Family-Based
07/26/2012 - 10/18/2012: 85 Days from Application Received to GC Received.
Removal of Conditions
07/22/2014 - 11/14/2014: 116 Days from Application Received to GC Received.
Naturalization
02/03/2016 - 05/31/2016 : 119 Days from Application Received to Oath Ceremony.

I am a United States citizen!

They should let her renew with the NOA1 that extends her GC for a year. Georgia did for me although they messed it up the first time and only renewed until the GC expiry date - two weeks from the date I went in! I went back in when I realized and they put it right.

07/08/2011 - Trevor is now a USC - called USCIS to request upgrade of the petition.
08/02/2011 - NOA2

09/30/2011 - Interview date assigned
11/08/2011 - Interview - approved!!
11/10/2011 - Visa in hand
12/04/2011 - POE in Atlanta
12/12/2011 - SSN number received in mail
12/12/2011 - Welcome notice received
01/06/2012 - Green card received
09/06/2013 - File for Removal of Conditions

Thank you. Yes, I just called them and they said to bring in the I-797C (which is the NOA1 i think)... and also told me there is a $50 fee for the extension. Can you believe it? She had to pay for the full # of years of the license in the first place and then she has to pay $50 to extend it and it still won't be for as long as a citizens would be for the original price she paid. (Of course there is no mention of this bogus fee anywhere on their fee list on the website--even with the non-citizen information.)

I believe many (if not all) states do this. We are VA residents and my wife's DL also expires the same day as her conditional green card.

I plan to go in to the DMV here in VA and get her DL extended by a year since we received our NOA1 in mail last week.

I didn't have to pay anything for an 'extension'. Just the $20 renewal fee.

My wife has a "temporary" Driver's license from the state of Virginia because of this same issue. Interestingly enough, when we lived in New York last year they issued her a full license. She was told she would have to apply for renewal. I am glad I saw this thread because I had forgotten completely about it.

Yes, just for the year. I have my 10 year card now so I really must summon up the courage for another 2-3 hour wait and go over to renew again.

ah I apologize, I misunderstood :)

I have a 5 year license, which is the full length for the state I live in I guess, because I traded in my previous license (that expired with my student status) from another state. They never checked for H-1B nor GC (and I didn't have either then anyway). Oh well.
