Called back and got a much nicer tier 2 officer. I didn't even have to ask him to do anything, he just decided to put a request to schedule me for an interview and then came back on the phone and told me I should receive a notice by dec 4th with more info about it. so I guess we'll see what happens

Fingers crossed. I can't recall what option I selected for an Infopass, it didn't matter, I just selected one I think. They schedule a little bit ahead, so if it were me, is schedule one anyhow so that if you have no action you will have one ready to go.

My status says the same thing too, and we have the same exact dates!

Yesterday, I received a letter from the Seattle USCIS field office with regards to the non-delivery of my notice and all the letter said was this:

On November 12,2014, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may been resolved.

Your application is currently waiting to be scheduled for an interview. A notice will be forthcoming once your case is scheduled.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

The interesting thing is that my address was actually handwritten on the envelope. As of Sep 30, the Seattle Field Office is still processing I-485 from May 16, 2014 so I guess it's still back to waiting for another 2 months before I get a date.

10 July 2014 (Day 1): I-485, I-130, I-131 I-765 mailed to Chicago Lockbox.

15 July 2014 (Day 5): Email & SMS Notifications from USCIS for each form filed.
18 July 2014 (Day 8): All 4 NOAs received in mail
1 August 2014 (Day 22): Completed walk-in biometrics successfully
13 August 2014 (Day 34): I-485 moved to Testing and Interview
19 August 2014 (Day 40): Reached out to congressman's office to request for expedited EAD based on job offer
25 August 2014 (Day 46): Called USCIS's office to put in request for expedited EAD processing
26 August 2014 (Day 47): Congressman's office called and informed that I-131 post decision activity, I-765 card/document production (successful expedite request)

28 August(Day 49): USCIS ordered production of I-765 EAD

6 September 2014 (Day 58): Received EAD/AP combo card

27 January 2015 (Day 201): Successfully completed interview

8 February 2015 (Day 211): 2-years conditional green card in hand

It sounds like you are keeping on top of this, that is good. If you get some wayward message about an adverse change in the activity of your file, suggest that you quickly make an InfoPass appointment and promptly get it sorted out.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

So this means that the should be working on cases around July 6th or so... Where did you see that they were working on cases from may 16th?

Oh darn! That's weird, I was at the website https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.doabout an hour ago and copied & pasted the date. For some reason, they must have changed it from May 16, 2014 to April 6,2014.

I'm hoping to get one soon, but I will be flying back home in Feb for a week or so and a little worried that my interview date is during the period of time when I'm overseas. I'm thinking if I should wait until I get the date before I call USCIS to reschedule my appointment since it's pretty much pointless now for me to make an Infopass appointment at the Seattle field office.

It's not pointless, you can cancel it if you don't end up needing to use it, but if you are concerned, make one as the appointments are booked a few weeks in advance.

my interview was scheduled today at 7am. there were 4-5 other couples waiting and it said interviews were running within 30 mins of the scheduled time. we were called in at 7.35am. the interview was done in an office with the interviewer behind his desk and my husband and i on the other side. it was a pretty easy interview, the only thing he wanted clarification on was why my husband has never met my parents or visited my home country. the only things he kept were our apartment lease contract, our joint bank account statements, our adoption papers for our cat, and some photographs. he said he didn't expect much evidence of joint finances, etc, as we'd only been married 5-6 months. we were done by 8am. he said he thinks our marriage is valid but it will take some time for final processing to complete. he gave us a form that says USCIS is unable to complete processing at this time and told us to wait a max. of 90 days for an update.

i am so glad that the hard parts are over and we will (mostly) be done with USCIS for ~1 year and 9 months. :)

Yup because the local office is backed up. Remember when I went for an infopass? I think I mentioned they are short staffed.

You will likely feel better talking to someone at the local office. If your dates are past the date listed on the USCIS' website I'd definitely make an infopass. Just pick one of the choices, the IO I spoke with didn't care or discuss my selection and it didn't match my actual question. If you get an interview you can cancel.

Plus I believe the IOs have the ability to pull files and move their position in the queue. I have a suspicion that they dis that for me since they still shouldn't have scheduled me based on what is posted.

I also submitted an e request for an interview notification after being misled online as well. Got a mail today from the local office in Tukwila saying I'm outside current window and have to wait that they'll inform me. Yakima happens to be the only office now without backlog processing I-485's in just 4 months. Guys based on my timeline any idea when I should be getting an interview notice?
