Hi. I received my Cond Green Card last August 2013, id like to go and visit family this September for first time after 2yrs.

The question is will I have any problems with customs since my passaport is in my maiden name and my green card on my new married last name? Also under what name do I purchase the ticket?

Ticket in married name. Carry a copy of your marriage certificate along with your passport and green card and you should be fine. :)

Ticket has to be in passport name, which is your valid travel document.

When re-entering US, you need to show your GC and until you have a passport in your married name, you also have to show your certified copy of marriage certificate every time you travel internationally.

Ticket needs to match the name in your passport. If your passport still has the maiden name, then purchase the ticket in your maiden name. Bring a copy of your marriage certificate just in case it is needed when showing your green card in married name when returning to the US.

We just did this and while it didn't really matter that the passport didn't match the ticket, it ended up take a little bit longer at the ticket counter trying to explain the situation to the agents for the american airline companies. European airline companies didn't even care. So my suggestion would be to get the ticket in passport name always. Immigration didn't really care about the airline ticket. All they wanted to see was the green card.
