Hi guys, long story short....the NVC sent off our petition to the US embassy in Warsaw, I was able to check the case status on the ceac website since last week and it went from "at nvc" to "in transit" to "ready" within a day or two, which i was really happy about. now im not sure my embassy received our petition yet but they surely got the electric version. but what i want to ask about are the "status update dates" on the ceac website....seems like our case gets "updated" every other day....it was recently updated just today...that confuses me. i looked it up and saw some old threads about it and some people were talking about the AP.....but can the case still go into the AP after being sent off to the consulate/embassy? Or what else...

Some people get held up at the NVC being in AP there, but that is not the case for you since it was already sent off to your consulate. Now, you wait for the consulate to receive it and follow their instructions for interviewing there. You do have the possibility of being placed in AP after the interview, before getting the visa, as does everyone.

Oh ok makes sense. Does that happen alot that it goes to the AP?

Btw i dont want to make another thread for this so ill ask it here...when would be the time to start filling the ds-160 form? i thought one had to fill that after scheduling an interview but the nvc letter says "in the meantime please have your fiance complete the form ds-160".

It happens a lot for some countries, and only occasionally for others. I do not know how it is for Poland.

You can fill out the DS-160 already and print out your confirmation. http://poland.usembassy.gov/poland/processing_fiance.html

ok thank you, and i know each embassy is different but they usually are capable of checking and confirming all the documents u bring them to the interview and decide right then whether u get the visa or not?
