Hey guys

So as I said earlier I receives my RFE for aos I485

RFE : the joint sponsor on form I864 aff of support must be a US citizen , United states national or lawful permanent resident of the united states

submit evidence of the joint sponsor status :

evidence may include :

birth cert.

Biographical page of us passport

cert of naturalization

certificate of us citizenship

So I have never heard that this was even required ! so weird ! I have never read something like this on VJ !

but anyway My question is

Yes he is a us citizen ( duhhh ) I submitted a Tax return of 2013 !!!!

what the easiest way and the quickest way for me is to get his biographical page of his passport.

but is it possible that my joint sponsor takes a picture of his biographical page of his passport and send it to me through email

and I print it out and sumbit this and send it back to them ??

I called the customer service twice and they could not answer this they said we don't know :( :( :(

or do I really need to ask him to copy his biograph page and send it to us by mail ( will take multiple days ) !

he is a busy guy so thats why i need the easiest way but ofcourse they have to accept it !

i don't want another RFE !!

let me know if you guys know the answer ??

thanks !

It's clearly indicated in the I-864 instructions that proof of US citizenship or LPR status is required.

He should scan his birth certificate or the biographical page of his US passport and send it to you as a .pdf attachment in an email, something like that.

So you tghink if he would take a picture with his ^phone and send it via email it wont be good enough ?

Owh its in the instructions ?? ! man I read that whole thing I must've misread that line ! :(

Yes, I don't think that will be good enough. If it's an amazing picture perhaps, but I imagine a simple picture is not going to cut it.
