I am in the process of filling in the DS-160 online.

I am stumped by the question

"Has anyone ever filed an immigration petition on your behalf?"

In the past I have filed a K1 petition, but this is a non- immigration visa.

So do I check yes or no to the question?

Thanks for your time.

Hi!

My suggestion is to always be honest in your answers, If you lie that could get you in trouble because it is very likely that they already now. Was that visa denied?

Philippians 4: 6-7. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

You should answer "yes". Usually it prompted further question like "when, your alien registration number, etc".

Yes for this purpose, and for most I can think of.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Ok thanks.

I was confused because a k1 is supposedly a non-immigrant visa.

So I will check yes to the question and explain.

iT MEANS ANY IMMIGRATION REQUESTS, SO BE HONEST

THEY HAVE EVERYTHING ON FILE, U SHOULD PRINT & KEEP

YOUR APPLICATION FOR THE FUTURE

Pardon on Caps

That's ok!

Thanks!
