Hey!

Have you guys noticed that people that applied last year had a timeline of approximately 10 months from beginning to end of the application process?! The first time I realized this I completely freaked out, because I was told (and had seen on other timelines) that the process was 3-5 months long.

Look at this two examples that are exactly in this order in the timeline of this discussion.

One started on 08/2014 and didn't get his interview until 03/2015 - 7 months!

The second started on 08/2015 (based on the eligible date 07/15) and got his interview on 10/20/2015 - less than 3 months!

I am just wondering what the heck happened. Does anyone know what happened from last year to this one to shorten the application time by 5 months? Or was it that last year waiting times were unusually long for some reason? Either way I am soooo happy to be applying now... phew!

Ok, now I am actually concerned that it is an Atlanta thing only. Is this an Atlanta thing? It makes no sense because I do see a few timelines from last year being about 5 months long. Is Atlanta a hit or miss?! Yikes >______<

I really REALLY hope I am going to be one of these people getting their citizenship in 4-5 months...

Woohoo KASH!

I just got my "In Line" notification online, but I won't be updating this thread anymore. In fact, I was thinking that maybe I should delete myself from the timeline so people don't get confused... but since I am not sure about what to do, I will leave it up to the next person updating their info to decide and leave me or delete me.

I thought my field office would be Atlanta, GA because I live in GA... but USCIS sent me to Charleston, SC for my biometrics. I decided to call USCIS to see if they knew what my field office was, and they said "Charleston, SC" even though I live in GA. They also said I may be sent somewhere else for my interview, as you just never know, but that, if everything went the way it's supposed to, I would have it on my official field office in South Carolina. I live closer to SC than to Atlanta, so I guess it makes sense. I am definitely not complaining because the SC office is not as busy as the Atlanta one is ^_______^

Woohoo KASH!

I just got my "In Line" notification online, but I won't be updating this thread anymore. In fact, I was thinking that maybe I should delete myself from the timeline so people don't get confused... but since I am not sure about what to do, I will leave it up to the next person updating their info to decide and leave me or delete me.

I thought my field office would be Atlanta, GA because I live in GA... but USCIS sent me to Charleston, SC for my biometrics. I decided to call USCIS to see if they knew what my field office was, and they said "Charleston, SC" even though I live in GA. They also said I may be sent somewhere else for my interview, as you just never know, but that, if everything went the way it's supposed to, I would have it on my official field office in South Carolina. I live closer to SC than to Atlanta, so I guess it makes sense. I am definitely not complaining because the SC office is not as busy as the Atlanta one is ^_______^

That is great! Hopefully the interview notice comes through quicker!

Hi VJ's,

I just had my interview today. It was quick and easy. It only lasted like 15 minutes. The IO gave me a letter that I passed the interview and said wait for the letter for schedule of oath taking.

My timeline

7/29/2015 N400 packet sent

7/30/2015 Eligibility date

8/05/2015 Cash checked

8/26/2015 Biometrics interview

10/20/2015 Interview date

I'm nervous on how long before the oath taking. I read some here waited only days or weeks but some are months.

Are there any reasons why some takes a while before they are scheduled for oath taking? Thanks

How long does it usually take from receiving the email/text that an interview was scheduled, to receiving the actual interview letter? it's been 6 days and I'm starting to wonder if Murphy misplaced my mail again :clock:
