How long does it usually take from receiving the email/text that an interview was scheduled, to receiving the actual interview letter? it's been 6 days and I'm starting to wonder if Murphy misplaced my mail again :clock:

On another note, has anybody done a name change with their N400? I requested a name change and I'm not sure how it affects my interview, oath, etc...

I think that the only thing to note with a name change is that USCIS will not be able to officiate your oath ceremony. You will be scheduled for an oath in Atlanta with a federal judge. look up the calendar for the judicial oath ceremonies on this link to estimate when your ceremony will be http://www.gand.uscourts.gov/naturalization/ goodluck to you

I also received the email on 1/16 but only received the notice on Saturday 1/24... I say you'll get your today!

Go early and explain the situation and the call to the folks at the ceremony. If USCIS has added your name to the list of ceremony attendees, they should be able to provide you with a copy of the N445 to fill out and sign. Worst case, they'll tell you they don't know what you're talking about and ask you to wait for an oath letter in the mail.

I've read about people in similar situations, and USCIS sometimes offers to fax (no email for some reason) a copy of the oath letter in such circumstances. Did they tell you that you've been added to the list for tomorrow's ceremony?

If they go ahead and let you take the oath, your certificate will hopefully be ready, but if not, they may ask you to stop by the field office later in the day or the following day to pick up the certificate.

Congrats! What was the ceremony like?

It went pretty smooth. Went in at about 6:30 AM. We had a 7:30 AM appointment but we had to be there early because we did not get the N-445 form in the mail. Because they called us, when we got there they printed the form and allow us to sign them up. It started late because most people did not get their N-445 Form.

It was over by 10 AM.
