What evidence do you have to the contrary of what has been reported thus far?

For one I didn't read anywhere that Crawford was stalking anyone. What I did read was that he was walking up and down the toy aisle while on the phone. Two, he told the police that the gun wasn't real or it was a toy (don't remember the exact words used). Edited August 25, 2014 by aaydrian

Stalking was a word I used. It has since been said that "brandishing" would be more appropriate and I agree. Did you watch the eyewitness interview on the news video? I've linked it below. Of course when he said the gun wasn't real, everyone should just believe him, cause no one would lie about that sort of thing, right? He needed to drop the gun when told to do so, he chose not to and he turned and pointed it at the police, that proved to be a fatal choice.

How come it only makes the news when black people get shot by the police. As I have posted here, recently, an unarmed white kid with headphones on was gunned down by the police recently, for pulling his pants up. No reports of him going for a gun or charging the cop.

No new media, no white house involvement. Maybe Obama only cares when it happens to black kids

Everyone reacts differently. Saying "Drop the gun/weapon" does not mean you, me or anyone else would do just that if they thought it was just a typical shopping day. Even someone who is intelligent and rich in common sense has that one moment where they do something that doesn't make sense. It has happened to me and in hindsight I knew I shouldn't have done this or that. Also when you are not in a situation it is easy to judge and say what Joe or Cindy should have done.

Did Crawford turn around and the gun ended up pointed in the police's direction? Or did Crawford turn around and aim the gun at the police?

I have no idea about the law in that state but if its an open carry state IF the man was not pointing the gun (toy) at the officers wasnt it part of their job to ask what was going on instead of just shooting? or stating drop your weapon as he could legally carry the weapon so why would they state drop it if its open carry state?

Of course it is. You can't just walk up and start blasting because he has a gun. However if you are surrounded by police, who have guns pointed at you screaming to drop the weapon and you don't. well the Darwin thing .
